Respected Sir,

I am submitting this complaint on the behalf of my mother (Maya Agarwal) who is a senior citizen and has been visiting the bank for solving her complaint on non filing of TDS for Rs 8863/- in 2007-08. She had submitted an application to the bank on 10th March 2011 and again on 30th June 2011 regarding the non-filing of TDS of Rs 8863/-in 2007-08. This amount (Rs 8867/-) has not been refunded by the Income Tax Department till date. This TDS was deducted on the FD done by her in 2007-08, for which she had personally given them 15H in proper time. She was informed by her Chartered Accountant that this TDS Amount(Rs 8863/-) is not reflecting in the Income Tax Returns in the year 2007-08, since the bank has not filed TDS returns for this amount in 2007-08. This amount has not been refunded by the Income Tax Department till date, though it generally does not take so much time to get the amount refunded.
It has been more than three months and still no proper action has been taken by the bank authorities to resolve her grievance.
