HI,
I am holding a saving bank account of number 42611028871 in Standard Chartered Bank for last two years and more.
I never had an issue , but it was on 2nd Jan 2012 around 9-9:30pm, I posted a check of number 271153 and amount 2025/- at ATM of atm-id:SINC4210 .
I was trying to put it in check drop machine but it was not accepting It, when I tried it few more times , the security was arguing with me to drop the check in check drop box instead of machine.
So I dropped the check with the following details written behind it,
Name : E. Venkata Rathna Prasad.
ATM card number : 4585460000865668
Ph no: 9962322953 .
Though I have not mentioned the account number, as per law and norms (said by bank’s customer support) the check should be held my bank as check with discrepancy and they should be able find it out if I mention the check number.
But in spite of calling more than 30 times and mentioning my check number and all other details I have not got my amount or check back.
The worst part is by 25th of Jan 2012 I received a call from a number 91-8039819800 and the person told me that I would get this closed by EOD that day , but again there was no call at all.
When I called the customer care by 26th and 27th , I heard that there is no record that I received a call and the status of complaint is I am not reachable and compliant is in progress.
The complaints number regarding this are NITH74/LC/0112/2 and 201201024365 , there is also a complaint of number 201201013310.
Kindly close this issue immediately since I am in urgent need of money.
The solution I am expecting is either the check back to me or I need the amount of Rs.2025.
This really mounts up mental stress.
Please don’t push me to the extent of filing a complaint case in consumer forum against the bank.
