I am having a account in the sbi, bhandup branch, I have deposited the chq. on 30-04-2010which is also issued by sbi, andheri br. from c.c. dvn. & enquired about that chq. on 04-05-2010 about the clearing of that chq. I was told that it will be cleared on the next day. On that basis I have issued a chq. to third party on 05-05-2010 and also enquired about that chq. on 06-05-2010. I was told by the respecting officer that your chq. has cleared but we have not got the third party chq. for clearance. On 07-05-2010 I was shocked to know from the third party that my chq. was dishonoured because of lack of sufficient funds. I went to the bank for the clarifiaction about that chq. but the respected officer Mrs. Indira disn't respond me at all. I have submitted my written complaint about the above matter and asked them about the clearing status that how many days a chq. takes to get cleared and that too from sbi local. Geenerally if it is from local branch and it is a transfer, normally it gets transferred on the same day. But even if u takes 3 dats for clearing then also it should have been cleard on 05-05-2010.

Now here I would like to make a complaint and asking for the compensation of Rs. 10,000 and harrassment & trauma I had gone through for couple of days.
