I have faced lot of problems to settle the death claim of my deceased father's account from U Co Bank, Belgachia Branch, Kolkata, where every formalities of nomination was available. It took two and half years time to get the attention of the Branch with regular refusals. Ultimately, with the intervention of Zonal Office, Kolkata; a settlement was done with some flimsy calculations and loss of interest. I have received untoward behavior also from Branch Level and Zonal Office Level. The matter was referred to the Branch Authority; Zonal Head, Kolkata. But, no response was received from any end. Ultimately, the matter was informed to the Office of the Banking Ombudsman with copy to C M D,U Co Bank; Zonal Head, U Co Bank, Kolkata and U Co Bank, Belgachia Branch in the form of hard copy letter. The matter was followed up through e-mail also. Till date I have not received any response from any side.
