I Mr. Sandeep R Kadam holding an insurance policy with Birla Sun Life. Plan name is Vision Plan. my Policy ID is 005004698. My policy was logged on 25th July 2011. After receiving the policy bond I found that benefits are not as per the earlier discussion with their adviser. Their adviser told me that I will get 3lacs cover for Hospital Care and same for the Accidental Death Benefit but in actual policy bond it was just 1.90lacs for both. So I returned the policy documents right on next day after I received the documents from them which was on 20th Aug 2011. I filled the Free look cancellation form and submitted my policy documents. The person to whom I handover the documents said that it will take 15 working days to cancel the policy and to refund my money. But on the same day I got a call from their Pune zonal office to know the reason for policy cancellation. I explained him all things and he said that he will do the changes in documents accordingly. But till date they have not done any changes and also not cancel my policy bond. I called on customer care numbers and sent emails several times for follow up but didn't got any reply from their side. Till date they have not cancel my policy.
This is really a poor service offered by Birla Sun Life. I have registered the complaint in IRDA too but still no output has come. I am just want to aware my friends who are going to buy policy from Birla Sun Life. Please don't buy policy from them. Their service is worst.
