Hi there, I'm 36 yrs. of age having mediclaim policy by ApolloMunich(DKV) from past 2 years.

I’m suffering from High Blood Pressure from past 3-4 months, yesterday while I was in office I started sweating a lot with pain in head & chest, Straightaway I went to the Hospital (Emergency) & doctors asked me to get admitted Immediately, as I have the personal mediclaim policy, hence I didn’t hesitate to get admitted, while doctors where examine me and send fax to claim the medical insurance, the APOLLOMUNICH decline my case, as per them my case is not that serious & I should not be get admitted for that.

I spend two days in hospital & have to pay the hospital charges from my own pocket?

Kindly explain, is it my fault if doctor ask me to get admitted immediately, or should I supposed to call ApolloMunich from Hospital's EMERGENCY and ask them whether to get admitted or not, also let me know till what extend a patent should wait to get herself/himself admitted to claim Insurance and when doctors ask the patient to get admitted what should a policy holder do?

I am policy holder of icicilombard from 5 years but company cancel policy in 2006 and 2007. i buy policy always from call center of icicilombard.2008,2009.2010 my policy runnig well.
I do request for claim on 11/08/2010 icicilombard demand useless queries like
2007 2009 OPD papers which papers not with me.
I admit my wife Mohini Rishi on 13/08/2010 and she get oprates her knees in DMC&H
But Icicilombard not Settle claim. On 16/08/2010 Denie claim. Reason Pre Existing Disease.
If we have pre Existing But They always renew my Policy. They have Taken Un lawfull. Please Try to solve my problem. Thanks.
