I have purchased a health care policy from TATA AIG groups on 17 july 2010. Their sales executive told me that the policy would cover the insurance of entire family (4 members including me) and I am sure I have asked and confirmed this a dozen times how many peoples it will cover from my family. Once the policy was purchased and the payment was made the same sales executive informed me that it will only cover 3 peoples from the family and an additional insurance should be purchased for the fourth member.
I mean this is just non-sense. These guys in order to make up their monthly/weekly targets provide false claims to the customer and once the policy is purchased and payment is payed they sing a different tune and inform us something which is different than what was said to me so many times.
I will get in touch with the TATA AIG Regional Manager for this. Please before taking any policy ask them to give in writing what all this will include (probably officially on their letter head) so that they cannot back-step once you make a payment. If they cannot give it to you, probably there is something which they are hiding from you... Remember, they have a target to complete every week/month and if they are really genuine and helping you because they want to help and not complete their target, they will provide you right guidance and may provide you in writing all the terms and conditions.
I have spoken to the customer support and they say they the only thing you can do is cancel the insurance... and the processing charge amount will be deducted... I mean, is this some kind of joke which they are trying to do with the customers? First false claim and then not giving me the full amount which I have payed? This is a serious guys.. this is called CHEATING...
