I took one insurance policy from HDFC Standard Life, but they did not send me original policy document to my registered address. I have been waiting to get the policy since last 5-6 month.
When I contacted HDFC branch, Gwalior, they have told me that they have dispatched the policy document to my mailing address via Sri Chakra Transtech vide proof of delivery B66370638 on 29/04/2011 and the same was delivered on 02/05/2011 (received by Mr. Kapoor).
The problem is that I did not mention Mr.Kapoor in my registered address with HDFC Standard Life at the time of taking policy.
Even I don't know who is Mr.Kapoor... & why they have delivered my personal document to Mr.Kapoor?
It is the mistake of HDFC Insurance company, which they are not accepting.
I have given several emails & in reply they are insisting me to submit the following documents necessary for the issue of a Duplicate Policy Document at any HDFC Standard Life branch:
1. Indemnity Bond and Affidavit for loss of policy.
2. Lost Policy Fee.
Indemnity collected on Rs. 250 Stamp Paper towards loss of Policy Documents needs to be notarized.
Affidavit is required on a Rs. 10 Stamp Paper.
Lost Policy Fee is calculated at Rs. 20 per lakh Sum Assured. Incase additional term benefit (ATB) rider was opted for then the charges will include Rs. 20 per lakh for ATB too.
Once all the requirements are received by us, the Policy Document stamped as "Duplicate" will be sent to your correspondence address bearing the original terms and conditions.
Please advice
Why should i do this, while its their mistake that they did not delivered my policy to my proper address.
Thanks & Regards
