I have done an investment of Rs. 10 Lac in year 2009 with ICICI
Prudential. Mr. Pawan Lodha who was working with ICICI Direct
approached me for this investment in January 2009. He told me about a
mutual fund scheme called as RGF (Return Gurantee Fund) with a debt
exposure having 3 year lockin and a guranteed NAV after lockin period.
I was informed that it is a mutual fund scheme like any other mutual
fund. I gave him the cheque of Rs. 10 Lac in favour of ICICI
Prudential.
Now since I am receiving SMS for premium payment by ICICI prudential,
I contacted the ICICI prudential office, Udaipur and came to know that
the amount of Rs. 10 Lac was invested in a ULIP called LSP in which I
have to make regular premium payments of Rs. 10 Lac every year! I was
shocked to know that the money was not invested in a mutual fund with
a one time investment as I was told by Mr. Pawan Lodha.
I am not at all in a position to make premium payments of Rs. 10 Lac
every year. It will be quite obvious looking at my income that I can
never invest in such a scheme even in my dreams. When I asked your
people that what happens if I don't pay the premiums, they told me
that I will get only 25% of the fund value.
It is amply clear that Mr. Pawan Lodha has cheated me keeping me
uninformed about this scheme and misguiding as a mutual fund with a
one time investment.
I am in an early stage of my carrier and not at all in a position to
bear such a huge loss of my hard earned money.
I request ICICI Prudential to look into the matter on an urgent basis and help me out of it.
Otherwise forcibly I have to knock the door of the Court against your
organization.
