Dear Sir/Madam,
I got a call from Indian Heath Organisation (IHO) on 22-Oct-2011 and was told about the Health Saver Plan from IHO (Indian Health Organisation).
I was informed of the various advantages and benefits of the IHO Health Saver Plan for me and my family. Along with this I was informed that there be several concessional vouchers worth around Rs 10k sent with the welcome kit which can be availed by us at several diagnostic centres or other medical facilities.
Accordingly, I and my family enrolled into the IHO Health Saver Plan worth Rs 4400/-.
However, I got a call 4-5 days back from IHO to confirm my address to dispatch the welcome kit and during this conversation I was informed that the welcome kit will contain 2-3 health checkup vouchers of upto Rs 4000/- each for the Primary member only and there would be only Rs 3000/- worth concessional vouchers for the other members. I was totally confused and taken aback at this announcement as I was told earlier that the vouchers and other benefits were for all member. It was never informed that most of the benefits are only for the Primary member.
I am a healthy 24 years old guy with no major medical history. Please let me know what I am supposed to do with these vouchers as the Primary member??
Had I been told about these differences earlier I would have either not enrolled or atleast enrolled one of my parents as the Primary member.
Thus, I feel that I have been lured and wronged into this deal by the misinformation provided by IHO representatives and would like to enroll out of this plan and like my money to be refunded back to me as soon as possible.
I had raised my grievance to the verification representative and asked him to please cancel my policy and refund, to which I was told that all my details are not available in the system and thus they cannot do this at that point in time.
Later, I even called the IHO Helpline and asked them to please cancel the policy and refund to which I was told that it will take around 14 days to review and a decision would be taken. Alternatively, I can email IHO at info@indianhealthorganisation.com and raise the request/complaint.
Accordingly, I sent a mail but I haven't received any response to this yet.
I am seriously being made to think that if even replying to a complain (forget about resolving it) is taking so long then what will be response time when me or any of my family members have an illness and need help from IHO and its policies!!
Please help me with the cancellation of this policy and getting the refund.
Thanks,
Nitesh Kumar Surana
