    Angry Kotak Mahindra Insurance Company UNICON Insurance agent Supporting Fraudulent Agents

    I would like to draw your kind attention towards the shameless and unprofessional act done by Kotak Mahindra / their agency. This is in reference to our multiple mails and visits to their offices in Delhi with reference to the Policy No. of my wife Smt. Radha Mehta 01966087 Dated 16/04/2010. With said Policy, we would like to draw your attention towards Fraudulent activity done by one of Kotak Mahindra's agency / Agent Mr. Harsh (09015247782) claiming himself as Asstt. Relationship Manager.

    As per his visit during March/April 2010, he reached our home through one of tele-calling agent Ms. Charu available on 01143523756 (which is now no more functional). During his visit and policy explanation, he and Ms. Charu explained us about the Product, KOTAK SUPER ADVANTAGE PLAN FD (Kotak Super Advantage is an intelligent unit-linked investment plan that is based upon the idea of regular long term savings and systematic accumulation of wealth. It offers guaranteed returns along with the benefit of flexible life cover and upto 100% allocation of your money, making it ideal for your long term financial needs.)

    Based on our study and explanation done by them (Harsh/Charu), we agreed for investment of Rs. 20,000/- in the KOTAL SUPER ADVANTAGE PLAN and made the INR 20,000/- payment in name of Smt. Radha Mehta who is Sr. Citizen lady.To our shock and surprise, we received the First Premium Certificate attached as different product as KOTAK GUARANTEED PENSION BUILDER (UIN-107L057V01) which was absolutely different from what we applied for.

    We tried reaching Mr. Harsh and Ms. Charu for totally different product sent to us whereas we were explained a different product, but all in vain. After taking couple of calls, Harsh stopped taking our calls and the other no. where Charu used to sit also got blocked. Despite regular calls and follow-up, I didn?t get any response or rectification from either and the agency.

    Finally I decided to reach their Karol Bagh office and registered my complaint against both and cancellation of my policy / refund. Being Sr. Delhi Police Officer, I am also reaching Delhi Crime Branch (Economics Wing) to take prompt and legal action against Company, Agency, Harsh and Charu as we have hand-written evidences of his explanation. This is simply a case of Fraud where Agent gave different product other than what was committed and fake information/address to a senior citizen that is too a lady.

    I hereby, urge Consumer Ciurt forum to take stringent action against Kotak Mahindra and thesaid agency and immediately order the cancelation of the Policy / Proposal No. 01966087 as KOTAK GUARANTEED PENSION BUILDER (UIN-107L057V01) Dated ? 16/04/2011 and make the full Refund of Rs. 20,000/- + Interest for said period without any further delay.

    We have been traumatized and harassed by the said agent and company and our hard earned money has gone into waste which we kept for our sr. citizen days.
    We have written and following up with Kotak Mahindra and their customer care and after rigourous follow-up they came with One sided investigation results saying that the policy issued is in accordance.
    This is terrible and shocking that companies and agents like these are playing with hard earned money of sr. citizens and fooling people who needs extra care and attention.

    IWe even wrote to IRDA whose job is to take actin against such companies and Agents but unfortunately IRDAM KOTAK MAHINDRA AND AGENCY MANAGEMENT are sleeping and no action taken so far!!!
