Insurance agent namely Mr. Manik (9878824053) approached me for insuring my car (i20 Hyundai) bearing registration No.HR03L/8113. Before getting it insured he followed up the case very well. Accordingly I get my car insured, cash less, from M/s HDFC ERGO GIC Ltd. through Mr. MANIK and handed over a cheque bearing No.342408 dated 30.09.2011 amounting to Rs.9113/- drawn on State Bank of Patiala, Sector 8, Panchkula and acknowledgement slip bearing No.002300710344 was issued on dated 30.09.2011. However, unfortunately, the back windscreen of my car was broken on 08/10/11, hence, I lodged a claim and get my car repaired from M/s Charisma Hyundai, the car was to be delivered on 11/10/11. I was surprised to know that even after 10 days, the cheque handed over by me against the insurance premium was not presented for payment. I called up Mr. MANIK but he did not attended my No. of calls, accordingly the car was delayed and I have to make payment in cash. I felt cheated and harassed. After considering all this, I requested the bank authorities to stop the payment of cheque.
The authorities at M/s HDFC ERGO GIC are requested to look into the matter and arrange that no client be harassed / felt cheated like me.
