My Mediclaim policy is from National Insuance Co. Ltd since 2002. I got a call from Optima Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. that they are the registered agents of National Insurance Co. Ltd.

As my Mediclaim Insurance policy was expiring on 28/04/2010, I gave a cheque towards premium for the said Policy on 15/04/2010 i.e, 14 days in advance to the agent of Optima Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd.

To my atmost surprise, they issued me a policy w.e.f, 04/05/2010 instead of 29/04/2010 i.e, a lapse of 5 days at that to for an amount of Rs. 1,75,000.00 instead of 1,75,000.00 + No-claim bonous of Rs. 45,000.00 approx which is accumulating from 2002. Secondly, they even got my name wrong on the policy i.e, Pushpinder Pal instead of Pushpinder Singh. Thirdly, I introduced my wife's name to the policy and paid premium also but her name did not appear on the policy.

When I contacted the Optima Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., they did not listen to me inspite of many complaints. The complaint no. mentioned on the policy proves to be a big joke as the person whos no. is mentioned, did'nt know anything.

It is my humble advice to everyone here that Please Be-aware of Optima Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd as they are only concerned with Cheating you.

Your cheque bounced hence the break in cover. The mistakes in the policy were done by the insurer. You were insisting on the hence we gave a policy without corrections. Policy was corrected in 5 working days and handed over to you.
