Policy No.10447293 of HDFC standard Iife Ins Co,Ltd,co promoted by Union Bank
Sir,
Upon persuance from the Branch Managers of Union Bank of India, Bagh Bazar Branch, Kolkata, one policy No.10447293 of HDFC Standard Life Ind Co. Ltd product HDFC Assurance Policy was made forcibly by the then Manager of that bank Sri Biswas for Rs.1.50 lacs in my wife's name with half yearly premium of Rs.7908/- on 7-12-2005.
Again upon the persuance of another Manager of that bank Sri Sisir Gopal saha I had to make another policy bearing No.11494934 of HDFC Standard Life Insurance in my wife's name Smt. Soma Paul for a sum of Rs.1.25 lacs with a annual premium of Rs.25000/- on 30-12-2007. I paid the next premium of Rs.25000/- on 30-12-2008. And I had made premium payments of the 1st policy upto 30-6-2009.
In the mean time I receive a letter from HDFC Standard Life Ins. Co. that Union Bank is more a partner/co promoter of HDFC from 2008.
I got panicked since I did favor the ideas of these managers of Union Bank but they assured me that it is Union Bank who will stand always by valuable customers like me.
To run my business I need to assign these two policies of my wife in favor of Union Bank on 27/04/2008. and I have all the receipted xerox papers of those two policies.
On 29/05/2010 When I do not have any dues to Union Bank, I asked the Bank to reassign those two policies if my wife's favor. But the present Manager Asim Paul wondered that as such there in no such policy papers are lying with his bank rather he tried to avoid this resposibility.
I got speechless so as to why and how come those two policies after assignment in favour of Union Bank is missing from Bank and in this regard the Bank never informed us about the matter to me.
Recently the IRDA & SEBI put the things into the hands of Apex Court of the Country forgetting the interest of millions of policy holders by banning fourteen such Insurance Cos.
I also came to know that the "Benefit Illustration" document was never been explained to me and signed.
Sisir Gopal Saha is now the Manager of the same Bank at Ballygange branch Kolkata. I have contacted him and his junior Manager Prem Kumar at that time also but they are not answering any thing to me.
I flatly told them that since I was much reluctant to make such worthless policies and instead I am making FDR's to satisfy your target, you people compelled me to make such policies and you assured that Union Bank will stand by the side of valuable customers like me now they are turning their back to me escaping from all their liabilities in this regard,
I need to get back all the premiums paid by me in my wife's name together with interest if I woul be permitted to make FDR's instead of such bogus policies and I now could have easily avoid unnecessary harassments.
Please look into the matter and help me to get back my premiums together with interest at the earliest & save me.
