    Default Reliance General Insurance Fraud

    Hi There!

Can you Please provide me your guidance over the below mentioned issue. I shall be very thankful to you. I have written to IRDA as well as Insurance Ombudsman and Consumer Online Resource & Empowerment Centre but they are not cooperating with me

    "Dear Sir

This is Amit Sethi from Faridabad (Haryana) and I am writing this mail to inform you about the Illegal Step of Reliance General Insurance (Health Policy). Sir, I bought a Healthwise Policy of Reliance General Insurance on 18-07-2008 having Policy Number 282510287871 by paying Premium of Rs. 1860/- online (A proof has been attached). After buying policy, I did not put any claim in the whole Policy Year So, at the time of renewal as per the terms of Policy, they given me a discount of 5% on the Premium amount. Renewed Policy Number is 28251028787101 and I paid Rs. 1471/- after discount (A proof has been attached).

Now the main concern is, Today I got renewal reminder hard copy by post i.e. My Policy renewal premium is due for the policy ending on 17-07-2010. Sir, I did not put any claim in this policy year also but they are asking to pay Rs. 4244/- to renew my current policy. The main point is, First Year I paid 1860/-, in the second year I paid Rs. 1471/- but now they are asking for Rs. 4244/- after 10% discount. Even in the received letter, they mentioned that the premium amount has been approved by IRDA (A proof has been attached).

I just want to ask, is it correct?..I expect, you will do the needful to help the policy holders. Here I would like to request you that please take this matter on higher priority and teach a lesson to Reliance General Insurance.

For your reference, My Current AGE is 29 Years..........

One more thing, I would like to say here i.e. Reliance started their General Insurance business around 3 years back and as per the health policies of Reliance, they must have to cover Pre-Existing Deceases from 2nd / 4th Year Onwards. Now they have increased their premiums up to 300% because they knew, they don’t have any excuse if any existing customer claims. Right now, in the market you can find any Health Policy with a cover of Rs. 2,00,000 at around Rs. 2500/- but Reliance is now selling at around Rs. 5000/- So, its clear meaning is to throw away existing customers and force them to switch somewhere else. Even I can do the same but I wont because I want to show Reliance i.e. Customer is the owner of the market and the terms must be customer favorable. One point i.e. Reliance is surviving on low cost in the market then what is the reason behind to increase amount of Premiums? The answer is above written statement."

    Unhappy reliance general insurance

    Hi there!
i was treated in appolo hospital for appendicities for a week as an insured patient.
all the requirement asked by the TPA were being submitted via fax by the hospital insurence officer from day one.but even when the time i had to be discharged there were no proper response, after waiting for 2days more came a response of nonapproval.
stating that i was not elligible due to their policy.
does it take 8 working days for such response, which left me burn a deep hole in my pocket for paying the bills of 80,000rs.which i had to borrow being a student and nondependent..

    Default The deception

    Good Morning Sir/Madam,

This is with reference to the so Called Reliance general Insurance deception and how i have been a scapegoat. Its really unfair and injustice to collect more premium than what was mentioned before accepting the policy. I never expected that the renewal premium would go up to four or more times than the initial premium. I did so much exercise before accepting this policy. It was the best one among all the leading general insurance companies. My policy Number is 1805792825000996 PLAN SILVER, dated 7 January,2010. amount was paid is Rs. 3504. Recently a renewal notice has been received. And i was shocked to know that renewal premium to be paid is Rs. 11,023=00. it did not digest it. I am deeply depressed and feel that the company made me victimized. i do hope that the second renewal will also surely enhanced. In such circumstances what to do and how could i continue my policy. i express inability in paying the above said amount. Who will help me? I request all the policy holders to aware of this kind of deception. I also request one should not be easily carried away by the boasting by the so called companies.
i do hope that you could understand my agony and help me .

    yours Sincerely,
