To know the complete context, pls spare some time to read through the below:

Dec-2nd: I met an accident in the wee hours of the morning (2AM)
Dec-2nd: Dropped my car in the Work shop
Dec-3rd: Got a call from Mr Anand (holding number 9845954519) from Bharti and he explained about how much percentage insurance shall cover.

Dec-6th: Anand called me up and informed that my policy stands invalid quoting below reasons, hence the work at workshop is stalled.

Ø My previous insurance was with Reliance (for 2009-10)
Ø I have claimed an amount for an accident happened in the period of (2009-10)
Ø In 2010-11 I switched to Bharti-Axa and claimed NCB (which am not at all aware of) from Bharti-Axa policy
Ø As I have claimed last year from Reliance am not eligible for this NCB (from Bharti-Axa)

Dec-6th: In the same call, I have clarified Anand that I am not even aware that I have been offered NCB in my policy with Bharti-Axa. To which Anand replied to me saying it is not his department pls talk to the agent from whom I have taken the policy.

Dec-6th: I asked Anand for his supervisor/manager contact, got the contact as “Mr.Dhinendra Singh” holding number 9731624836. I Spoke to Dhinendra Singh and got the similar responses in very polite manner.

Dec-6th: Approached Mr Subhash (Regional Manager of Karnataka) seeking help. Mr.Subhash asked me to provide my claim number, policy number and other details. I have sent all the details asked through SMS.

Dec-7th: A person named Roshan called up and informed me that they shall verify this complaint and shall come back in a couple of days.

Dec-9th: Called up Mr.Subhash seeking for an update. Mr.Subhash informed that, as the details have to be verified it shall take 3-4 days.

Dec-16th: Called up again Mr.Subhash seeking an update. Mr.Subhash asked me to file a complaint in their customer support portal on the Bharti-Axa website.

Jest of Policy change/movement:

Ø For the period of 2009-10, I was holding a policy with Reliance
Ø One of the agent called me (it was an unsolicited call) and offered a better deal compared to Reliance
Ø Agent informed me that I need to provide the photo copy of last year(2009-10) policy and a cheque for the amount. He also mentioned the rest he shall take care.
Ø I gave the cheque and the 2009-10 policy photo copy to him. He filled in a cover note and gave me.
Ø Neither I was asked about previous claims nor does the cover note say anything about the NCB which is the only document filled by me.
Ø The original cover note given by the agent is still with me

After elapsing 8 months when the time has come for the claim, the Bharti-Axa team raised that I have claimed NCB and my policy stands invalid. In my opinion, when issuing the policy Bharti-Axa neither bothered to check with me about the previous claim status nor they verified it from background. But conveniently the check was only done when the claim is requested. This leaves a feeling of getting cheated of no fault from my side. I strongly believe when the company is giving NCB, they shouldn’t give it by default; instead it should be either based on my inputs or through verification.

I kindly seek your help to check this issue and take appropriate actions.
