Dear Sir / Madam,

Please refer to aforesaid subject for my Two wheeler having Policy no. 3005/12389874/10376/000.

I am Manish Bhandari, owner of a bike (Hero Honda Hunk) with registration no. – DL BN 3S 6157 insured from ICICI Lombard through Pashupati Motors. My bike got damaged in an accident last year (exact dates and other details can be obtained from my file which has been closed unfortunately). I made a claim for the same and was assured by ICICI Lombard that I will get my claim amount within 15 days after the survey. But after some days I came to know that my claim has been rejected on the ground that my insurance policy is not valid (expired) although the accident took place after I had renewed the insurance.
I politely called your Customer Care executives and Surveyor Mr. Manish Tiwary several times and every time he (Mr. Tiwary) kept on giving stupid excuses. After waiting for almost 6-7 months when I got really frustrated with his attitude of giving lollypops and finally called him and said that its enough now, please issue my claim amount or else I’ve to take some legal action, he arrogantly replied, he said – “Sir aap ek kaam karo, aap action he le lo. Jo karna hai kar lo”.

Later on when I complained the same to your Customer care executive, she finally reviled the exact reason for this issue. Actually when I insured my bike through Pashupati Motors, I did got a Policy no. but it was not updated in ICICI Lombard's database. So it was a fault from ICICI Lombard's end for which I had to suffer. I mailed him (Mr. Tiwary) all the documents again (2-3 times) as he said that my file has been closed, called him and customer care several times but no result. The claim amount which was supposed to be delivered within 15 days has not reached to me even after 1 year.
At the time of survey, Mr. Manish Tiwary requested me to go for pre payment option (eventhough the Service Center – “ARC Motors” did had the Cashless facility) as the amount is not that high. It was really a big mistake from me that I trusted him and ICICI Lombard. In future, not only I’ll never insure anything from ICICI Lombard but also not recommend anyone to go for ICICI Lombard.
