IHAD TO GET THE TREAT MENT ALTERNATELY BY SOME OTHER HOSPITAL AS THE
SEVEN HIIIS HOSPITAL BLATANTLY REFUSED SAYIG THAT THE NIAC IS NOT
HONOURING THE BILLS OF THIS SCME OF UTI AND AS SUCH THEY CANNOT ADMIT
MEMBERS OF THIS SCHEME UTI SCUP1993.THIS IS ACLEAR CASE OFDENYING THE
GOVT SCHEME UNDER TAKEN LEAVING THE FATE OF MEMBER OF THE SCHEME UTUI

# Iam Vanka Apparao a senior citizen aged 72 years now lured by the
advertisement by Unit Trust of India in 1993,joined the Senior Citizen
Unit Plan. My membership No.is SC9330810000011.It is promised that
health insurance is covered on attaining the age of 58 years Accordingly
I paid RS35000 on 9-6-1993.The UTI informed about and allotted
membership No.SC9330810000011.The UTI also paid premium to NIAC on my
behalf as detailed follows 1)From 9-6-1993to 30-6-1993 Rs5625
2)1-7-1993to30-6-1994 Rs5625 3)1-7-1994to 30-6-1995 Rs5625
4)1-7-1995to30-6-1996 Rs5625.Second instalment was paid by UTI is
Rs4477-50 for the period up to 30-6-1998.next an amount of Rs4701-38
was paid for the period up to 30-6-1999.Thus a total amount of
Rs31,678-88 was paid to NIAC on behalf of me(V.APPARAO). Against which
UTI is bound to assure an amount of Rs7,50,000 cashless treatment to
me and to my wife as per the terms of the SCUP Scheme 1993.but
unfortunately the SCUP Scheme was closed saying that the liability
was handed over to NIAC .taking a stand that for members who more than
58 years and whose insurance premium had been paid there will be no
change and NJAC will still offer the hospitalisation cover duly
including the cashless facility. NOW IN MY CASE ALSO THE ENTIRE PREMIUM
HAD BEEN PAID AS DETAILED ABOVE. There fore eligible for the cashless
facility. But during 6/2009 the listed hospitals disowned saying that
NIAC IS NOT HONOURING THEIR CLAIMS. In this particular helpless
situation Iam driven to untold miserable position and had to absorb
their(UTI&NIAC) failures. though both are Govt. organisations. Is this
not voilation of HUMAN RIGHTS.AND DISRESPECTNG OF SENIOR CITIZENS
.Therefore kindly do the needful to restore the gross injustice. Please
direct thNIAC to issue the fresh policies for cashless hospitalisation
and extend all facilities contemplated in the UTI=SCUP Scheme mutatis
mutando and do the denied jusice at least now.without further loss of
time and breaking LAW by the Govt.organisations.


1) HENCE I REQUEST TO KINDLY DIRECT THE NEW
INDIA ASSURANCE CO.LTD.TO ISSUE SUITABLE ASSURANCE TO THE VICTIMS
OFTHIS SCHEME SCUP OF UTI AS NIAC HAS TAKEN OVER THIS SCHEME IN TERMS
OF TH SAME CONDITIONS HAD IT BEEN COTINUED IN UTI. THIS MAY BE IN THE
SHAPE OF BOND OR A LETTER BY PROPER AUTHORITY

2)NIAC MAY BE DIRECTED TO HONOUR THE BILLS PRESENTED BY THE APPROVED
HOSPITALS AND AVOID INCONVENIENCE AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE WHATSOEVER TO
THE MEMBERS OF THE UTI SENIOR CITIZENS UNIT PLAN IN AS MUCH AS THE
WHOLE PREMIUMS WERE PAID IN TIME ON BEHALF OF THE MEMBERS THIS SCUP
SCHEME OF UTI. IT IS ONCE AGAIN BROUGHT TO THE KIND NOTICE OF THE IRDA
AUTHORITIES THAT HAVING RECEIVED THE PAYMENTS BY THE NIAC ASSURANCE
CO. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE TO DENY THE CLAIMS OF THE MEMBERS RIGHTLY
PAID THEIR PREMIUMS. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF KNOCKING AWAY THE HARD
EARNED MONIES OF THE MEMBERS DISHONESTLY WITH VESTED INTERST AND
SHOWING THEIR MASKED ATTITUDE TO WHISK AWAY THE FUNDS . HOW EVER IT IS
REQUESTED TO KINDLY DO THE JUSTICE TO THE POOR AND DISABLED SECTION OF
THE SOCIETY THE SO CALLED SENIOR CITIZENS A COLOURFUL NAME FOR THE
NAME'S SAKE.AWATING EARLY REDRESSAL WITH FOLDED HANDS. APPARAO VANKA

1. I had filed insurance claims in the requisite claim form for my hospitalisation on the basis of SCUP policy no 9630310000067/010/ 4924, in July 2010, together with originals of detailed bills for procedures carried out for Myocardial infarction on June 30th, 2010.

2.Your communication dated August 4.2010, requiring submission of the original discharge summary, original lab and scan reports were duly submitted.

Subsequently there has been no communication whatsoever from UTI Senior Citizen Unit Plan 1993 regarding
the progress of this process.

It is my earnest appeal that process for reimbursement be expedited as the sum is a large one and as a Senior Citizen , I am hard put to repay the loans I incurred to pay hospital bills at the time of discharge on 3.7.2010.
