I have demat accounts in ICICI bank
first account is in my and my wifes joint name
second account is only in my name
I also have a trading account for both demat accounts together.
Now the problem is
in my joint demat account my wifes name is mentioned as Vijayalaxmi.As costumery in our comunity my wifes name was changed from Gayatri to Vijayalaxmi. My father transfered some shares in my and my wifes name (vijayalaxmi).these shares were in meterial forms.So while opening demat account I had to open demat account in the name of Vijayalaxmi only.In this case for name vijayalaxmi I had no proof other than share certifiactes.bank also did not ask for name proof.
In all other places my wifes name is given as Gayatri P.In this name she holds passport also.
Now that iam not having PAN card in the name of Vijaya laxmi which is required by bank .Bank has freezed my deamt and trading account,since last 2 years.
As i do not have ID proof for my Wifes name as Vijayalaxmi Iam not in a position to take PAN card in that name.
Kindly suggest a solution to solve my problem.
