Dear Sir,
(Ref: Reliance Growth Fund – Growth Plan – Growth Option: Folio No. G4013823 S No. 10006, Customer Ref No. 4152075292)
With reference to the above fund, I had applied for redemption on on 20.9.2003 (NAV Rs 50). Surprisingly & shockingly, I had to wait for almost seven long years to get the redemption cheque. I received the same on 03.03.2010 vide attached cheque dated 10.02.2010 (NAV 412.20).
Even though there was a delay in your processing the redemption, I was under the impression that the redemption request would have been missed at your end & since it was from the trusted ‘House of Reliance’, I did not further follow up & decided to remain invested. It was a big disappointment & let down that Reliance has sent me redemption cheque after seven years at old NAV. I wonder as to how this can be justified. Technically & legally I am entitled to redemption close to the date of issued cheque. I tried sending a request vide courier & couldn’t get any reply thereof & hence the cheque has still not been encashed.
Kindly note that I am a totally visually handicapped senior citizen & me and my wife are totally dependent on our hard earned income for our survival. We never expected such kind of response from a group of your repute. I firmly stand by my point that I am eligible for redemption at NAV dated Feb, 2010. I am making this final request before initiating legal opinion on this matter. My humble request is not to put in such an awkward situation at this age with my handicap. Kindly request you to please issue a cheque at NAV dated February 2010.
We shall be highly obliged for this act of yours.
Looking forward to your positive reply.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely,

Mohamed Noohu
