Dear Sir,

I was issued axis bank credit card along with a supplementary card on my mother name.
My mother's purse was flicked in train which had this supplementary card.
At this point in time i did not receive any PIN number for this card as it was lately issued.
Still there was a cash transaction taken place on this card.Call center representative confirmed me that there had been two transaction taken of 5000 each.
I submitted FIR copy along with dispute form to mentioned address .That was a PO Box number address.Constant follow up to call center was done asking
on the status for same.There answer was there would be investigation on the same and if dispute is resolved your favor the amount will be reversed.
I went to UK for some work and follow up somewhere didn't take place. I later received calls from collection department and i tried explaining this
case to them and also informed them to mark a note in system and get relevant person to approach me on this.
Later i did use mail channel and explained this scenario in words to cards email department. They requested me to send back dispute form along with FIR copy scanned through mail. This was almost 2 years plus after transaction . The dispute was initiated after series of mails and calls . I believed that in-spite of delays the real problem will start getting discussed.
This dispute was send to VISA to check when the PIN number was dispatched .They informed me that this will take maximum 4 months.
Collection Department Calls where still on the way during the four month and later too and they suggested me to approach laminton road branch to get it sorted.There i did get to know that there were four transaction instead of two of Rs 5000 twice and Rs 500 twice on the same day.Which was earlier informed by call center representative of being interest of cash transaction and not the actual transaction.This was a shocking information given.Immediate mails and calls where made where to axis and did informed about all this. They assured me that things will be taken care.
Instead of 4 months this overall process took 1 year and that to constant follow up through mails and calls.
Lately this got resolved in my favor and only 5000 - 5000 amount reversal took place along with financial charges .The thousand amount still remains pending even after informed constantly that there was no(not even single) transaction done on the card.
Earlier total outstanding was 27000 approx . which after reversal to 5000 - 5000 amount(16000 reduced) just came up to 11000 approx (just for Rs 1000)
I was bugged up earlier with this overall delays on and long hold when one calls up in call center.I suggested them two alternative.This is what i had written them.
1) I will raise the 500 - 500 as dispute and try reversing it immediately without long round trips and allow me start using the card.
2) I will just pay Transaction amount( 500 - 500). Reverse all the other financial charges levied on me just to avoid unjustified delayed (Though have not made this transaction) and allow me start using the card.

Too which they are not agreeing and thought i have gone in defensive mood.
The amount was never big for me to pay but real problem of faulty card was a issue.
I am determine that i will fight back this
I tried explaining things in a simple way but it wasn't that simple and there was lot of problems faced during this.


These are some bulletin points which i had lately written them.
1) The reason of not mentioning 500 amount twice in the earlier stages was simple and clear
as i was informed by the call center folks every time that this is interest and not the transaction.
2) The other and important fact remains is that this was a cash transaction done without the PIN number generated at that instance in time.And this

has resolved in my favor. And this 500 twice transaction was made on the same day back to back.
This fact somewhere is kept under-carpet by axis bank all time.
3) The 5000 transaction twice was also excepted after 2 years and not 30 days for very simple that the information told to submit the dispute form along with FIR copy was incorrectly communicated
4)Any persons rite from call center guys to escalation team members to collection department all have suggested that such cases are considered and disputes are accepted as this case looks genuine, except the different views from cards email department

Please help me on this and let me know how should i go about.
