I was using Credit card- of Barclays bank,I used the card for the first time in March 2008 and got the statement in april and paid the cheque on the due datet, barclays bank imposed late fee charges and later they kept accumulating that charges even though i never used that card. I tried to speak to customer care but for some time that ph number was out of order.I also wrote emails to services@braclays.in, but I did not get any response. I got legal notice from bank's lawyer, he said if I have paid for whatever I have purchased I dont need to pay. Recently I learned that bank have put some negative remarks on CIBIL and that too without informing me. At least onus lies on bank to inform customer if such steps are being taken but i assume that having access to such uthorities, bank can do whatever they can and even when its there fault and expect a customer to bear.

I tried to resolve this issue over phone several times but unfortunately nothing happened and i was always explaining this issue to a new person each time at service centre.
There is no one in the bank to tell what should I do.customer care executives say to call collection deptt. and collection deptt says to call customer care.I am helpless now.
This is the first incident in my dealings where such outcome has occurred.
