Default Cheating by SBI Card

Dear Sir

SBI card had launched priviledge circle programme offering amongst other benefits free stay at selected hotels at selected places. The stay was to be arranged through Heritage Holidays. I had availed the said offer and submitted my application for reservation of hotels on 18/06/2010. However, till date I have not received any confirmation from either SBI Card or Heritage Holidays.
As required in the application I had opted for 3 dates and 3 places. The 3 dates were 07/08/10, 14/08/10 and 02/09/2010. Of the preferred dates 1 has already left and other is on the verge of lapse. As informed over phone my booking is confirmed for 02/09/10. But in absence of any written communication I will not be in a position to avail the accomodation.
In last 3 weeks I would have called for numerous times to both the agencies. However, only false promises like "You will receive confirmation mail in a day or two" were made and no confirmation received till date.
Kindly let me know what is the legal remedy available to me to recover the amount paid for availing the programme as well as other costs incurred.
Kindly treat the matter as urgent.

Default SBI credit card: Money swindlers

Hi all, I fell into the same trap in middle of August 2010. Everything happened so quickly.

When I got the phone I was tricked into believing that first the offer details(3 days holiday package+one way flight+POLO wrist watch) will come to me by courier. Then after checking the details I will sign for them to debit the money.

But suddenly on 21 Aug I found Rs 6067/= debited on my SBI card. The date of debit is also significant as I am getting the least no of days(21) to take any action against SBI card.
There is no doubt that they did forced illegal debit to my card account. This is money swindling of the worst kind. If we together fight it out legally in Delhi,they will be in a spot.

I do not know what the standard of their services & goods offered will be. But that is secondary. Everybody cancel your SBI Credit cards while you can. I hear that SBI card is run by GE Countrywide. Not by SBI themselves.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We regret that the response is delayed to your complaint, Furtherance to your complaint we have investigated our records & following is the response.

We had sent you a confirmation mail on 12th Aug'10 for the reservation of the hotel in Mahableshwar for 02nd Sep'10. Same mail would be treated as a written authorization for the stay.

We are happy that we were able to cater to your problem and resolve it to your satisfaction. We look forward to you withdrawing this complaint now. If there is any further grievance on this subject, please do write back at reservation@heritageholidayindia.com or on the same blog.
