Post Complaint Against Credit Card Department of HDFC Bank

Myself is Manju, I have a Salary A/c 03291050032904 with HDFC Bank, in Vasundhara Enclave Branch. On behalf of this account bank has issued me a Credit Card No. 4346 – 7720 – 0813 – 6896 with credit limit of Rs. 15000/-.

I have used the credit limit of my credit card and unable to pay the amount due to a heavy loss in my husband’s business.

I have received a call from HDFC Bank regarding my credit card payment then I have settled the Card on 25.01.2010 in Rs. 12,000/- by six installments. The executive who settled my card said that the mode of payment would be cash and you can’t pay the installment by cheque.

He used to come at my home and take the payment. I have paid two installment for Rs. 1200/- and 1100/- on 31.01.2010 and 28.02.2010.

After March-10 nobody has come to collect the payment and I was not aware that payment could be deposited in the bank.

I have left the job from previous employer and joined a new company. They have opened my new salary account no. 05981050029076 with HDFC Bank, Asaf Ali Road.

On 07.06.10 when my salary transferred in my HDFC A/c No . 05981050029076. When I went to HDFC ATM to withdraw my salary I can’t withdraw my salary. I brought this matter in front of bank executives they told me that your salary was hold by Credit Card Department, and you have to contact them.

I was very shocked that Credit Card Department has hold my salary without giving any information to me. When I called Credit Card Department they told me that your salary was hold due to non payment of credit card and you have a outstanding amount of Rs. 37000/- approx, your salary would not be released and you have to pay Rs. 20000/- excluding the blocked salary amount i.e Rs. 11274/-.

I want to settle this card by paying the rest of my settled amount. (12000-1200-1100 = 9700) in two installments. So I request you to release my salary from my account so that I can pay installment.

Dear sir,
Myself shrikant last year i was in delhi ,i had taken a credit card through HDFC bank,but i had never used that card when i was staying in delhi but after i tranfered to mumbai i had thrown my credits cards after cutting that in 8 pieces which i had taken at delhi but i had never used that cards in delhi nor in mumbai But after some days i had a call through HDFC bank regarding payment of Credit cards which i had never used They told me that i had used through net banking but i had never used that in my life but after having discussion with a person working in HDFC bank they told me too pay 1100 rs amount of dispute and u will not have to pay any money after paying dispute amount i had payed that amount but after some days i am having again calls from HDFC bank regarding payment thay are telling before call was from consultancy but now it is from HDFC bank and telling me to pay 16000 rs

Please do the needfull, I am attaching my account statement which was send by a person working in HDFC bank,and also regarding this i had mailed that person who had send me the statement but i had not got any reply from their side

Default HDFC Credit Cards

Hi Sir,

I applied for HDFC Credit Card a year back. I used the service and did make payments on time. I then lost my job and post that its been really difficult for me to make payments on time as I live alone and am dependent on myself for my living. I have been getting calls from the Credit Card Dept. and asking for more payments of 33,000/- which I will not be able to pay. I have paid 14,000/- so far out of 22,000/- used. I am willing to pay the remaining 8,000/- out of 22,000/- but the representative says that i have to pay it all. I did apply for settlement and was asked to pay 2999/- every month for 8 months which I could not because i earn only 3000/- p.m. working in a shop as a store keeper as i have lost all my documents and i can't get a better job.

All I am requesting you is to kindly look over my matter. I am willing to pay the remaining 8,000/- in 3 or 4 installments and finish if off, but i can't pay 33,000/-(+). Pls help.

Subject:- Regarding my NOC letter asked to bank executive, but no responce.

Respected sir/madam , I had called your bank phone executive for NOC on 13th of october. In return I got a call from a number 022-61396400 on 15th october but further there was no responce .

My credit card number is 4346 7810 0443 6028 which dues are already paid and have received the settelment letter number S-0674806 dtd 26/12/09. During this process , the collection dept had promissed me to give the NOC Certificate but have not received till date.

Please issue my NOC Ctk as quickly as possible.

Unhappy Salary Blocked by HDFC bank

Dear Sir/ Madam,

My name is Sherline Phillip and I have a Salary account with HDFC bank on the bases of which the bank had provided me with a credit card.

I have been paying the minimum amount on the credit card. However, because of some medical issues in my family I was unable to pay the amount to the bank for 3 months.

I have been getting calls form the credit card department for payment & I have explained them that I am unable to issue payment as my mother was admitted in the hospital as she was detected Cancer & I was going through a financial crunch however they did not understand & a collection representative was sent to my home which has given my family mental stress. I had spoken to one of the representative called Rizwan on the 15th or the 16th of Oct & informed him that I will make payment for the credit card & explained him the entire situation & I also requested him to arrange for a manager to call me so that I can ask them to give me some time & also request them for a settlement. However I did not receive any call from the manager.

My mother passed away on the 23rd Oct 2010, I had received a call on that day also from the credit card department, the phone was not with me but with one of my cousin who informed them about the unfortunate thing that had happen however they still did not understand & started questioning her.
*When did this happen & if she was lying only because I owe them money ( I am not lying if the bank needs I can produce them with my mothers death certificate)
*Where was I & if there was actually a death in the family why didn't my cousin go for the funeral
*When will I be free to talk to them
*When can I pay the money
As a human being the caller should have understood that in such a situation a person will not answer the phone & no one will lie on their mother.

I am a very old customer of HDFC bank and in return I only requested them to give me some time to come over my financial crunch so that I can make payment but unfortunately this did not happen.

Now my salary account has been blocked by the credit card department without any prior notice there was a balance of Rs 10,400/- in my account. I have lot of commitments & also a personal loan from HDFC bank & because of this by personal loan will get bounced, will HDFC bear the cost of dishonour of future payment toward my loan?

I have spoken to the credit card department who informed me that they will call me back to explain me the procedure how I can get my account unlocked however I have not received a call till now.

I have again call the bank on the 8/11/2010 & was informed that I will get a call back in 24 hrs, I am still waiting for the bank to call me.

Please look into the matter & advise me what is the best way to get my salary account unlocked & also settle my credit card as I am tired of paying HDFC bank.

Default Hdfc corporate credit card -

I had a hdfc corporate credit card ( 5566204200105552) while i was working in a telecom firm at pune....i quit that company in jan 2009 and i requested for address change which didnt happen...after that its been almost 2 years i havent recieved any bills....whatever transactions i did from the card i paid thru netbanking initially but then i stopped using the card....and now i got a call saying that my dues are around 32k which is shocking.
- no bills from 2 years
- no intimation from the bank whatsoever
- no alerts

i am ready to settle the account with the real dues ( without interest,unknown transactions which must be included).
do let me know the minimum settlement amount if its needed to be resolved ...thanks

Default bad experience of HDFC

Hi, this is Radhika Yadav writing witha query regarding to my Credit card applied on 28th December'10 ref. no. 11012212839950W1 , 2 people from your end visited our office & we applied through them.They did not gave us the full information & even i have an salary account with your HDFC.Now my card request is declined because of a stupid reason from ur end. They say due to my verification & office contact no. At the time of my verification i was in the office ofcourse i will not stay at home for your verification then to the person from ur end took the details/verification from my parents, when the person was informed i am not at home why he took verifiaction? also the idiot lady tried calling my office number it is a voice mail she had to dial 2 to reach my department, she called up on my mobile number i gave her the whole instuction how to call, then she called me & i gave my verification. This is a real stupidity from your end. My purpose of opening account from your end was to get the Credit card. Also your call center people directly say We cannot assist you try to teach them the humanity words, there is way of speaking, also your Chennai Dept. is the same. I have all the names of people whom i spoke to but i don't want to disclose the same. Finally please reply to my mail urgently & even i need call from ur end also i need my card as soon as possible. As per your policy an account holder having minimum salary of INR 12000/- per month is eligible for your card so am i.Kindly reply to my query as i am pissed off from ur end.Replyyyyyyy meee rightttt now. Account no. - 09671050022952. I even visited your branch in J.B. Nagar - Andheri East but even they advised me to write mail.

Default Cibil check update

Hi,

This is to inform you that I have made a settlement towards my HDFC Bank Credit Card # 4346-7710-0714-3119 on the 23thJuly 2009. I have a copy of the letter as well as that was told that my CIBIL status will be re updated in the next 6mnths of settling the account. I have been working in NCR CORPORATION IND PVT LTD since last 4 yrs and I'm getting a package of approx 3.2lakhs/ annum. Every time I apply for a credit card it gets rejected. So, I please request you to update my CIBIL check so I can reapply for a credit card or any required loan. I also wanted to keep you informed that I have made my payments on time and will make sure to maintain my credit.
I'm re-requesting you again to clear my CIBIL check status so I can enjoy the benefits of banking sector and shall make sure to maintain flexibility. If you need any other documents feel free to contact me on 91-996 766 5011.

Dear HDFC BANK,

I’m your old current account customer….( 00352020001763..00352560003641)…your current a/c facility was satisfactory that’s why I’hv applied for a credit card in your bank. 1st.app.no.is—CC08476510..REF.NO.11080215134980N2. .2ND is---CC07915173 …REF.NO.11080211119990N2. 1ST application was rejected due to any mistake from your service executive in documents..but 2nd has been processed successfully …after many sooo many time phone verifications & 2 or 3 time visitings by your executive regarding verification of mine..every thing was ok app.proceed successfully..& msg me from your side that your app.proceed & after 2 weeks you can get your card from your said address…but now they msg me that your app. For card has been rejected some any how reasons….& wait for a letter in which we clearified the rejection..& you can apply again after 6 months..WHAT IS THIS…DEAR I HAVE APPLIED BEFORE 8 TO 9 MONTHS AGO.. THAT TIME ALSO THIS TYPE OF MISSHAPPNING CREATE BY YOUR PEOPLE…. Post credit card application rejected again & again...

Dear HDFC BANK,

I’m your old current account customer….( 00352020001763..00352560003641)…your current a/c facility was satisfactory that’s why I’hv applied for a credit card in your bank. 1st.app.no.is—CC08476510..REF.NO.11080215134980N2. .2ND is---CC07915173 …REF.NO.11080211119990N2. 1ST application was rejected due to any mistake from your service executive in documents..but 2nd has been processed successfully …after many sooo many time phone verifications & 2 or 3 time visitings by your executive regarding verification of mine..every thing was ok app.proceed successfully..& msg me from your side that your app.proceed & after 2 weeks you can get your card from your said address…but now they msg me that your app. For card has been rejected some any how reasons….& wait for a letter in which we clearified the rejection..& you can apply again after 6 months..WHAT IS THIS…DEAR I HAVE APPLIED BEFORE 8 TO 9 MONTHS AGO.. THAT TIME ALSO THIS TYPE OF MISSHAPPNING CREATE BY YOUR PEOPLE…. NOW AGAIN…ITS KIDDING WITH ME DEAR…PLEASE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND MY PROBLEM…& GIVE ME A RESPONSIBLE ANSWER FOR ALL THIS HAPPENS..ASAP…KINDLY ……IF ANY RESPONSIBLE PERSON IN YOUR BANK THEN PLZ ANSWER ME.

Default Request For Action On Credit Card Department

Hi,
This is Prem. I am having Savings Bank Account in hdfc bank since more than 2 yrs, and also I hold an Current Account in hdfc bank. I got a credit card a year before and I have an issue with the card, that I requested for payment in installment so that I can clear the outstanding amount....I called customer service executives wherein they say that they will get back to me..... An asst. manager called me when I am in meeting...He said he will call me back but he didnt call me.... After couple of days some one called me back. when I started to tell my issue she abruptly disconnected the call. So I called back to the customer service number of credit card department again and some lady answered the call and said that, our agents called you but you didnt answer the call wherein I answered the call, but the agent disconnected the call....why you guys (agents) say that customer didnt answer the call when you even had a conversation with the customer? After few days (today) I received a letter saying that, our customer service executives called you but you didnt answer the call, so we are unable to assist you.....

Seeing this letter I called back to customer service of credit card departmnet and the agent Mr. Sadiq answered the call an he is very rude to me using few rude words and tone as well and he says 'are you in a position to talk to the manager', when I asked him to transfer the cal to the manager.....Some how he transferred the call, but unfortunately the manager Mr. Sandeep is of the same kind.... They are least bothered even when we say that we are gonna e-mail a complaint.

My question is, Is this the way your customer service agents treat the customers? How come no action been taken on these agents / managers in this organization (HDFC)?

I would request you to provide me an option for payment of the cc outstanding amount in installment, so that I can clear the outstanding amount at the earliest.

Expecting a reply and action on the agents / managers.....
