    Default Complaint against HDFC Bank

    This is in reference to my salary account no.18971140005014 with HDFC Bank. This is a salary account with Devyani International and has been blocked by HDFC credit card department.

    I want to bring to your notice the following

    The minimum payment for the credit card no. 4617xxxxxxxx2242 was being made.
    I,Disha Saxena, am the card owner and was out of country. My father was in touch with the bank and was taking care that the department is appropriately intimated of any lapses
    The last payment was made in the month of October and we requested that the card not be blocked and committed that we will make the full payment by December end and requested that payment of November month be picked up by month end.
    Due to unforeseen circumstances my parents had to travel and were not available in the month end. They tried to contact Mr. Vikas Magan which did not happen somehow.
    On their return they contacted Mr. Vikas, debt manager HDFC bank,who showed his inability to accept the payment and he said that some Mr. Himanshu will be dealing with the case
    MR. Himanshu was contacted by my father, who told that the card has been permanently blocked and no action is possible at his end. He was given the details of his interaction with Mr. vikas in the past and requested that the card overdue payments should be accepted and the card should be revived, in the interest of the bank/cardholder. He was told by Mr. Himanshu that it will not be possible for him or for anybody at any level in the bank to do something in the matter.
    All efforts from our side to recover the card went unheeded by the authorities and we were told that the whole amount has to be made in one go and even then the card would remain blocked.
    Further to this my this my salary account has been blocked without any intimation from the bank. I wasnt informed at all by the bank and I found out on my own when I called the bank. Till date noone from the bank has contacted me. They have just blocked the amount and noone is ready to work on any other solution. This specially when only two payments were lacking and we committed to the bank that those payments along with the complete amount will be settled. There was no communication gap and we made it a point to always intimate the bank that we intend to make the complete payment. We have always tried to be responsble enough but have been harassed by the bank.I had a word with Mr. Vishal Magan, and I was told that the salary account will be blocked till the complete payment is made. Even if the minimum amount for the two months is deducted, the complete payment on the crad will have to be made before the salary account is operational again.
    My salary is a source of sustenance for the complete family and I am in acute financial crisis. Instalments for my personal loan and car loan are bouncing because of the salary account being held up.I would strongly urge you to look into this. Blocking the complete salary,that too without any prior notice is no solution. There is no help from either the customer care or the debt manager himself. I have nowhere to go.On ethical grounds i would request you to help me unblock my account andask the bank to take whatever minimum payment is required from it and also revive my card.
