I have a Kotak Trump Credit Card and have been using the same since past 1yr.
I was sent the credit card bill while i was away from home and hence could not pay the minimum due at the prescribed date. Their COLLECTIONS dept called me and i explained them that i will be making the payment only on return which is by end of Jul 10 and she agreed to waive the late payment fees.
On 29th July 10, for a petty amount of 2800/- they sent the bank person at my home and in the evening when i accessed my Net banking to make the payment, i get to know that they have seized my saving account (which had a balance of Rs. 6,300/-) until i make the minimum payment.
I contacted the customer service team and explained them that i am unable to make the payment because they seized my account and i cant even make the payment from the same account.
I was informed by the executive that i can make the payment through phone banking. Post when he took my request, he informs me that this transaction will be processed in 5working days, (which generally took only 1day in the past.)
THIS IS A TOTAL HARRASEMENT, ONE SIDE THEY WANT US TO MAKE THE PAYMENT AND ON THE OTHER SIDE THEY SEIZE MY ACCOUNT (WHICH IS SINCE LAST 3YRS AND HAVE BALANCE IN 6DIGIT FOR A DUE OF 4DIGIT NO.) AND NOT ALLOW MAKE MY PAYMENTS.
NOW ISNT THIS LIKE A DADAGIRI OR SHOULD I SAY GUNDAGIRI............
