Delay in settlement of credit card by ICICI bank

    Default Delay in settlement of credit card by ICICI bank

    I have an ICICI Gold credit card which i have subscribe in year 2006. There was a transaction which was converted into EMI by the company whereas i have paid the amount in one go. But still the ICICI bank is considering two EMI of that transaction in outstanding amount due on my part where as there is no such due from my side since i have settled the same in one go. Although might be there are some interest charges for delay in payment but there is no amount due in respect of principal amount which i have shopped for.

    Several times i have take up the matter with ICICI bank customer care over mail (all records avbl with me) & phone but all remain in vain since no body from bank turned up to settle the matter. Even I have send the details via FAX to branch manager credit card division of ICICI bank at mumbai but nothing happen. Now still the amount is showing as Rs 14000 approx amount due on my part whereas it not correct and the bank has forwarded my name to CIBIL which is unethical since i am the one who have mentioned every time in my mails from 2007 onwards that i am ready to pay off the genuine due to banks but nothing happens till date.

    Now i have no opprotuinity left but to post the issue here for kind consideration of the forum as to share my grievance with the members of the forum as how the customers are harrassed by these banks.

    If somebody could tell me how to sort out this matter without going for legal proceedings or else legal action is the only recourse available to me.

    Default Betrayal by ICICI bank even after paying the full & final amount for settlement

    I have an "ICICI Gold Credit Card" which i have subscribe in year 2006. There was a particular transaction which was converted by the company into EMI whereas i have paid the whole amount for that transaction in one go. But the ICICI bank has considered two EMI of that transaction in outstanding amount due on my part where as there is no such due from my side since i have already settled the same in one go.

    Several times i have take up the matter with ICICI bank customer care over mail (all records avbl with me) & phone but all remain in vain since no body from bank turned up to settle the matter.

    So, finally I landed up mentioning these details in this forum and then ICICI bank people have taken this matter into their consideration. According to their demand I have paid an amount of Rs 7700/ dated 14.07.2010 (although there is no such due but no matter) and informed them over mail.

    The ICICI bank has reverted on 16.07.2010 that the credit card has been zeroised & attached the "No Due" letter.

    But to my shock & dismay still the amount (as on 21.08.2010) is shown as outstanding/written off in "CIBIL Portal" by ICICI bank (which i came to know from a credit card company who have rejected my application by giving this detail that an amount is still outstanding towards ICICI bank in CIBIL portal).

    I don't know even after the expiry of one and half month from the date of full & final settlement why my profile is still not updated in CIBIL portal by ICICI bank, even after the promise made by one of the ICICI bank representatives over telecon that it will be updated within a week from the date of making full & final payment.

    I understood that this is a betrayal on the part of ICICI bank to me even after receiving the required amount from me.

    Now i have no opprotuinity left but to again post the issue here for kind consideration of the forum as to share my grievance with the members of the forum as how the customers are harrassed by these banks.

    If somebody could tell me how to sort out this matter (regarding updation of profile at "CIBIL Portal") without going for legal proceedings or else legal action is the only recourse available to me.
