Default Due to Holidays HDFC awarded Fine

I have credit and need to pay due on 27/08/2011

My Payment date is 27/08/2011 - very hard date to anyone since no salary that time
My payment due amount 185000 I paid 135000 on 25th itself then deposited cheque on 27th the HDFC bank has taken 7 days for claiming the amount for the cheque and the bank has awarded me the penalty for those 7 days delay. Even for paying the due on date is it reasonable to charge me this amount.

Actually I gave my card to a person for his father operation. That's why this huge amount

    Thanks
    Jayaram

Default They are not reversing after requesting and informing. The fine is more than 5200

The interest which is 5200 is no way convincing and if we need to pay that amount it will be really hard to digest. The biggest problem with credit cards is because of these behavior they will threat us using CIBIL and also if we have salary account with them in future also then they will block it.
