I have an HDFC Bank Credit Card from which i had purchased a HTC Desire Z worth Rs. 20,490 on 11th July 2011 through EBay via PaisaPay transactions. The payment was to be made through Easy EMIs. EBay had already deducted the first EMI in my statement generated on 15th July. But according to EBay's policy, the seller had to ship the item within 7 days or he will have to refund the amount. The seller could not ship the item and hence initiated a refund on 16th July 2011. EBay people say that they had refunded the amount on 17th Jul and the amount would get credited in 2-3 Working days. I haven't received the refund yet and when I contact HDFC people, they say that they haven't received the refund and ask me to contact EBay. When i contact EBay, they say that they have initiated the refund and they tell me to ask HDFC people about the refund. Also, a debit of Rs. 17,501 has been made to my credit card towards EBay stating an Merchant EMI Preclosure as the trasaction description. Both the parties are telling me to contact the other party and none of them are taking a proper responsiblity.
