Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to file a complaint against HDFC CC Dept. and against the HDFC bank. I was customer of HDFC bank, I have a current account in HDFC bank from 2008, & use to do a good transaction every month and on the basis of my current account the CC agent have pushed me a credit card with a limit of 10000.00 (Ten Thousand only). I have use the card as well as I uses to make the payment of the due amount regularly, but when they told me that there was a fine on my account then I ask for the card statement from them which they or HDFC bank has not sent to me. After that I thought to close the credit card and ask for the full and final settlements to the CC agent who called me on my home phone. I told him to come to my house or even I asked him where I have to come for the settlement for the credit card, he told me that he will come to my home which was register with HDFC bank ( which appear on the account), but he didn’t came after that regularly I use to get calls from the recovery agents (Credit Card agents) and they use to give threat to me and uses abusive languages, when I was not there In my home they use to call and when my mother use to pick the call they use to use threat and use abuses languages which is very sad. After that when I told them to come and collect the cash the principal amount 9000.00 ( nine thousand only) which was told by the CC recovery agent and the manager from HDFC Glinder House Kolkata and do the full and final settlement they told that they will send a agent but no one came ( I am telling about the year of 2009 ), after that even I have stop all the transaction from the current account which I use to have for this reason.
Now again after 2 years in 2011 from September the cc recovery agents started to call me again for the payment, They said that they are calling from Glinder House Kolkata, and now they are saying that I have to pay 54096.00 Approx , I don't understand for what reason. I again told them to send me a statement with entire details even I spoke to the manager, but I haven't got any statement yet from them nor any document, Again when the cc agent name Mr. Ajay called me I told that I want to speak with the Manager only then he transfer the call to him after a long request, I told the manager that send me the details but he told me that he can’t send any details he told me for the full and final settlement and I was agreed I asked him what I have to do & how much I have to pay for this , He told me I have to pay the Principal amount Rs.9000.00 ( Nine Thousand Only) after that the case will get close, I agree with that & I told him to send the person to my place But from that they till today no one came for the same.
Today I receive a letter from M/S Poornima & Saradha, Advocates, High Court, Chennai stating that I have a outstanding dues of Rs. 54065.93 towards HDFC Bank credit Card No. 4346772005024525. They have sent me the notice that I have to pay the said amount within 7 days or else, I have to pay the amount Rs. 54065.93 @ 18% p.a interest from the date of filling of suit till the date of payment and / or realization of the said amount.

So I would like to know from the HDFC bank authority is this the way HDFC bank runs its business by harassing the people. Does this will the HDFC bank able to retain their customers or attract new customers?
Sir/Madam, I am not in the position to pay such a big amount. I am ready to pay the principal amount and do the full and final settlement. If any more force will be done by the HDFC bank , or their associates including the recovery agents and the advocates to pay the Rs.54065.93 then I will bound to commit suicide and the entire blame will be on the HDFC bank .
So please look into this matter seriously and stop harassing the people. Looking forward for some positive/ motivated reply and a strict action from HDFC.
