I am here with much disappointment to state that I agreed for a investment policy(policy no. 13237768) with HDFC bank in september 2009. The policy got started without any notification and any single document with me. The mode of payment was hdfc credit card(card no. 5176 5210 0886 0910). I recieved the documents at the given address after around 6 months. By that time i already started with other policies thinking that my documents didn't approve. I did not wished to have the hdfc policy and cancelled it with in 15 days of reciept of documents. The policy was cancelled by myself at 'standard life insurance branch in adyar' and I was given the signed cancellation letter copy as a proof. Now that I have cancelled the policy few months ago, I am still getting calls from credit card dept. again and again for a due payment of Rs.25000.
I have never used the credit card at any point of sale or atm terminal. While cancelling the policy I was told that the money from 'Standard life Insurance' will be returned to credit card dept. But I guess it hasn't happened so.
I am really sorry to say that it is highly inconvenient to recieve calls from new people everytime from CC dept and to explain them the same story. To which they respond saying, they will check with the system and get back to me. So far I have talked to a hundred people from CC dept. and unfortunately non of them has got back to me after listening to the issue. Some of which actually threaten and talk mannerlessly. The calls are highly disturbing and harassing.
I desperately need to end this.
