Thumbs up I am looking for EMI option for credit card.

I am Bhaskar, I am using hdfc credit card from last 2 years, recently I got married, during the marriage I purchased things using hdfc credit card. My outstanding amount now is around 70000.every month I am getting 2500 of interest to this amount. Many times I call to the customer care for providing EMI option, but no one is helping on this.

Finally I was decided to take personal loan in order to pay this amount, I have applied in two reputed banks for the personal loan of 1 lack. But they are denied to give the personal loan because of my credit history. The credit history is bad because of this hdfc bank credit card amount due. I have no other sources to pay full amount at a time(All roads are blocked).I am getting 50000 salary every month, I can pay the due amount by EMI. I can pay the due amount within 6 months. Can please understand my situation and provide me an EMI option of 6 months.

    Default HDFC Credit Card Issue

    Hello,

I am Laxmi Prasad Mishra, having Credit Card Number 5289 XXXX XXXX 1702, and I had outstanding amount Rs. 10,922/-. I had a credited amount Rs. 4977/- in the last year February 2011 against the HDFC ERGO POLICY INSURANCE which I had refused to take that policy in the telephonic conversation with some agent but the agent who had called me, collected all the information from me cleverly and then he forcefully made that policy on my name and my brother's name (as nominee) and credited the policy amount for which I was not informed also at all.

Also, there was neither statement nor any SMS alert received by me for the said credit card outstanding.

But, just 2 months back I got the call from the HDFC Bank regarding my outstanding amount against my credit card, and when I told them my concern then they gave me a Credit Card Customer Support number for my queries.

And when I called the Customer Support person, then they told that, there is noway to cancel your policy amount and if possible, you may need to do a settlement for the above issue.

And they did not tell or advice me to when and how to make a request for settlement, rather they deducted the outstanding amount Rs. 10,922/-, from my HDFC Saving account without my permission or knowledge on February 17, 2012.

    So my questions are:

    1) I had not asked for the HDFC ERGO POLICY INSURANCE, but they credited the amount and sent me the policy forcefully or you can say against my wish for which I was debited Rs. 4977/-. It is whose fault?

    2) Without my permission or knowledge they debited the outstanding amount from my HDFC Saving account and did not advice me how to go for a settlement for the above issue. Is it the right way to provide a quality and secure service to the customer?

So please help me regarding this issue.

    Thanks,
    Laxmi Prasad Mishra
