After some hectic and numerous calls with the icici bank customer care, this is my last resort.

An amount of Rs 10400+ has been blocked on my ICICI SB a/c I get to know from the customer care executive, that the amount has been blocked for payment of some credit card, which doesn't belong to ME !!!! UNBELIEVABLE !!!!

The card # for which the amount is blocked has the last four digits as 0001

My icici card # is 8011
I got a mail from the CC that there is some card from 2001, which details match mine and for that they have blocked my SB a/c without any intimation now in 2010.....

I asked them for the transactions, etc to prove that card isn't mine, and they say, they do not have any data before 2007...

Could you please advise what I shld do? My ECS was bounced due to this, as I had no idea they blocked my a/c for that amount...Now they will charge me for not maintaining my balance, when they blocked the amount .

I cannot even close my account, till this matter is resolved.
