Hi, I have applied for a Standard Chartered credit card on Aug 11. I got the reference number but after all verification calls no update was given from bank. I emailed customer care and they wrote it was declined due to address verification didnt happen.
In september again some rep from SC called me and said they wish to reopen my case and asked me to submit my documents again. It was assured to me that if I submit my documents this time they will dispatch the card within 7 working days without repeating the verification process again. I got verification calls again. this time no reference number was given. I tried to call that rep but she didnt pick up the call. I raised this issue to customer care and then to their Nodal officer but no useful reply was given. Instead they asked me to submit the docs again. I was highly irritated by their poor service.
In november the same rep called me many times again and apologised for prev incident and asked me to submit the docs again. This time she said she will take care and gave her emp id and manager number and all . but this time also no reference number was given. I contacted the nodal office but they carelessly said they cannot track my application.
Now I dont want any product from SC. But I am highly disappointed about the useful time I spent for these things which has gone waste spoiling my productivity. I will never opt for any SC product in future and suggest all my friends and colleagues also the same. SC has poor customer service and irresponsible employees in customer service.
