My daughter Apurva Sinha, who secured 82.50% in her HSC (commerce) secured a seat in the 'Confirmed' second list of Wilson College for BMM studies. The list was out on June 18th, 2010.
On 21st June she went to submit the completed form, but to our shock she was informed that the seats were full and admissions were given on 'first come and first serve basis', which certainly is neither true nor was mentioned anywhere.
When she approached the Vice Principal, instead of getting the issue solved, she was directed to the 'concerned person' - Ms. Sirwaiya, who created a ruckus. Ms. Sirwaiya not only denied any support, but also her behaviour was extremely rude towards us.
On politely being asked for the reason for not giving the seat which was confirmed in her name, she kept yelling and shouting.
Such kind of rude and uncourteous behaviour is certainly not expected from the college officials who are supposed to help the children there.
The only question we asked her and which still remains unanswered is that ' where did the seat, that was given to a deserving students vanish all of sudden'.
BMM being an autonomous course, the manipulation of seat could be expected by the college. The reasons are best known to them (and to all).
The children study so hard and such fierce is the competition in the present times, and this is definitely not the result they deserve. For whatever reasons, how can the 'supposedly' learned educator spoil a child's career and future.
We are waiting for our questions to be answered.
Thanking you!
