I was selected for admission into PGPM course at IBS Bangalore for 2011-13 session.I had deposited admission fees of 80,000 by draft to Icfai Hyderabad in March 2011.
But I could not arrange education loan for this course inspite of my best efforts. The reason is that my father has retired and I am unable to get loan from public sector bank for the PGPM course.
In such a condition,I have sent email for withdrawal of admission to IBS Admissions office starting 5th June, then again on 6th June. Then I have replied to their email on 09th June confirming that I will like to get admission fees refund as I am unable to arrange education loan for PGPM course.
I have informed IBS Bangalore registrar on 10th June regarding my withdrawal of admission.( Submitted written letter regarding my admission withdrawal dated 10th June). They have informed me that my name has been removed from list of students as on 15th June.
As per UGC guidelines, student should get refund if he requested for refund before start of regular classes.
As per ibsindia website, regular classes for 2011-13 batch have started from 27th June 2011.
Inspite of sending repeated emails to IBS Admissions office,I am not getting any response from their side.
When I have withdrawn my admission much before start of regular classes, I should be getting fees refund.
Request consumer court to look into this matter and help me in getting refund of admission fees from
ICFAI Hyderabad.
Thanks & Regards,
