    Default Complaint / Harrassement / Misbehave / Excess Charges

    Dear Concerned,

    My name is VIRENDRA KUMAR, Residence of 1506/17, C-3, Maksudabad Colony, Najafgarh, New Delhi - 110043 booked online (Booking Reference: LKZSLW) Air Ticket of IndiGo on 14-November-2011 for 23-November-2011 as per given details :-

    1) Flight 6E 273 Date 23Nov11 From Delhi - Departs 6:15 A.M. To Kolkata - Arrives 8:15 A.M.

    2) Flight 6E 274 Date 23Nov11 From Kolkata - Departs 7:40 P.M. To Delhi - Arrives 10:05 P.M.

    The charges Price Summary was :-

    Base Fare and Airline Fuel Charges Rs. 9,400=00

    2 IndiGo Plus (Vegitable Meal) Rs. 1,200=00 [ @Rs.600/- Per Meal ]

    Fees & Taxes

    - Passenger Service Fee Rs. 458=00
    - Transaction Charge Rs. 50=00
    - Service Tax Rs. 155=00
    - Service Tax Rs. 155=00

    Total Price Rs. 11,418=00


    COMPLAINT : When I start journey from Delhi to Kolkota, The cabin crew offer me Breakfast i.e. One Snack (amounting Rs.150/-) & One Juice (Amounting Rs.60/-) = Total costing Rs.210/- [Whereas the company deduct @Rs.600/- towards meal, the charges is also reflecting in Ticket clearly]

    When arriving at Kolkata I enquire from Indigo Office at around 12:30 Noon (for office bearers - two male and two females are sitting there), they told me that its upto your choice.............and confused after going through my tickets that the reflecting amount is Rs.600/- per meal, LATERON when I asked that when the airline charge Rs.600/- then why they donot give the meal upto Rs.600/- or if not Return Back to the Customer..................the Old Looking Fat Office Bearer wearing Indigo Dress Misbehave with me.

    AFTER that I ask them that tell me the GRIVEANCE HALDLING OFFICER NAME if they are not able to help me out I will discuss with him/her otherwise I will Lodge the Complaint to the Airport Authority of India - Concerned Manager.

    Then the old looking fat lady ask me that stay here, I will confirm the concern whether they meet with me or not.
    Then she called a office Bearer Named Ms. SNEHA GOMES, she told me why I pay the amount in advance.......there is no way to refund the amount back......IF I HAVE ANY GRIEVANCE I SHOULD GO TO THEIR DELHI OFFICE TO LODGE THE COMPLAINT.

    THEN I VISITED the AAI- AIRPORT MANAGER, KOLKATA ..........and request her to tell the concerned Officer name of INDIGO, She told me that I will go upstairs and meet with Mr. VIJAY MATTA. When I go upstairs One representative ask me the reason to meet him........I told him all the Incident......he ask me to stay again..........about 02:15 P.M. he introduce me to Mr. Vijay Matta....................He also refuse to return the amount.
    MEANS THE OFFICE BEARER OF INDIGIO SITTING DOWNSTARS TOLD ME WRONG / GIVEN WRONG INFORMATION THAT THEY ARE THE FINAL AUTHORITY TO RESOLVE THE GRIEVANCE................JO KARNA H KAR LO...


    I SAY THAT THE AMOUNT OF @RS.600/- CLEARLY MENTION IN MY BILL TOWARDS, THEN WHY THEY NOT SERVED THE FOOD COSTING OF SAME TO ME........HE WAS ALSO SHOCKED TO HEAR THE SAME...............................AND CALLED
    MS. SNEHA GOMES to clear the issue....................SHE ALSO REFUSE TO DO SO.

    THEN I ASKED THEM IF THEY ARE NOT GIVING THE FOOD COSTING TO THE AMOUNT WHICH THEY DEDUCT, I WOULD NOT WANT TO TAKE THE BENEFIT IN THE RETURN TIME (BECAUSE MY RETURN FLIGHT TIME IS 19:40 P.M.),
    HENCE, REFUND THE AMOUNT...........
    AGAIN THEY REFUSE TO CANCELL THE SAME TOO.....AND TOLD EITHER I WILL TAKE THE FOOD ONLY COSTING TO Rs.240/- OTHERWISE ALL AMOUNT WILL LAPSED, AND NOT RETURNED TO ME.

    LATER ON I AGAIN GO TO AAI - AIRPORT MANAGER, KOLKATA AND LODGED A WRITTEN COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS (COMPLAINT NO. 083, DATED 23/11/2011 TIME 15:00 P.M.)


    THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENT IS REQUESTED TO REFUND THE AMOUNT TAKEN FROM ME TOWARDS MEAL...............AND NOT GIVEN THE BENEFIT OF THE SAME WITHIN IN 72 HOURS OF RECEPIT OF THE MAIL,
    1) OTHERWISE I WILL SUE THE COMPANY IN COURT......
    2) ALSO SENT THE SAME TO INCOME TAX AUTHORIITES AGAINST INDIGO FOR UNFAIR MANUPLATION OF THE AMOUNT IN THEIR ACCOUNTS / RECORDS (WHICH CLEARLY MENTION TOWARDS @MEAL CHARGES.

    Hoping for an early favourable response from INDIGO to give justice to me in the above cited matter.

    My name is Bhola Katyal working with government sector at New Delhi. I had booked my confirmed tickets through Cleartrip for me and my family (4 tickets) in the month of July/August for Delhi-Aurangabad sector for 09/12/11 by AI-887 which was changed to AI-441 by Air India and the flight was tto fly at 1455 Hrs as per the revised schedule of Air India.

    Accordingly we reached at the Airport for check-in to catch the flight well in time and our baggage was loaded on the belt to carry but unfortunately the executive on desk had left his chair and went to the concerned Manager for discussing something fishy/secret and unnecessarily wasted 25 to 30 minutes with the Manager and suddenly he refused/denied us to travel by the same flight because of non-availability of seats in the aeroplane and told us to convert/change the journey for 10/12/11 which was surely a surprise/setback for me and my family. When we booked the ticket for 10/12/11 journey for the same sector, the concerned booking executive at counter had charged us Rs.18,460/- extra for for 4 tkts for 10/12/11 journey. Also we checked up the status for 09/12/11 seat availability and we surprised to note that there were 4 seats very much available on 09/12/11 itself when our baggage was loaded on the belt to carry. We failed to understand why we were denied to travel in the particular flight if seats were available and why they charged us a huge amount of Rs.18,460/- extra without any reason and why is intentionally done and cheated us. Hope it was already planned because so many other people were also crying for the same.

    I have also met with the Senior Officer at Airport Aurhority of India on 20/12/11 and apprised the same and he was also surprised to note with the records at his end, and why it has been done if there were 4 seats left in the plane at the same time and denied us to travel. And why they charged extra amount of Rs.18,460/- against the confirmed tickets for 09/12/11 journey by AI-441 from Delhi to Aurangabad. He also advised me to approach/write to the higher authority of Air India to get the matter into consideration and look into the matter seriously.

    Sir, being a government servent this amount is a huge for me to spent without any reason and I would a;sp request you to kindly look into the matter sincerely at your end because there is something fishy and and if it is found in line as per my complaint, please get my money reimbursed (Rs.18,460/- extra charged) and the dealing persons should be penalised if found guilty. Because Air India/Indian Airlines is the big name in the world market.

    Once again you are requested to kindly look into the matter at your end and get me Rs.18,460/- reimbursed immediately.
