Good Day

This is in reference to pilferage of cash from my wallet which was kept in the bag during my travel from Panama to New Delhi.

I had a transit flight from Newark airport to Frankfurt and from there to Delhi. Due to hold up at Newark airport because of security and customs check-up, I reached the boarding gate at the last minute.

As at the gate i was informed that due to my last minute entry no additional security check has been carried out of my hand luggage so the same required to be checked in with the airline crew and was informed that the baggage will be delivered back to me at frankfurt airport by the airline crew. At the same time i was being rushed into the plane as the same was getting delayed. I was handed over the receipt of my bag at the entry of the plane .

Pls note it was repetedly requested to the airport crew to allow the carriage of bag as it had just been security checked at the main customs counter but the same was denied.

I did not look at the receipt immediately as i was informed the above by the Airport crew. Upon settling in the plane and when i saw the receipt I realized that the bag will only be handed over to me at New Delhi along with other checked in luggage. The same was confirmed by the airline counter at Frankfurt airport.

If I would have known the above would happen I certainly would have taken my wallet out as i required the money for my other shopping during my transit.

Upon reaching the New Delhi airport to my horror i learnt that my bag was still in Newark and never left along with the plane.

Now reaching my home port with no money , no phone , no bag and no help from the airline counter i had to face a lot of inconvenience to reach home.

On12.01.12 when i have finally received my bag , upon checking in front of the person who had delivered it , I found that my entire cash from my wallet missing. Same was immediately relayed to Lufthansa Office in Delhi . No complaint number was given by them and was asked to mail on the above ID.

Later on after sending the above mail to delhi office , A compliant number was issued : DELLH30875 and the compensation for my trauma and losses were denied.

As you can see this is not a small amount of money and same will not be forgotten without an adequate compensation.
