Bought one e-ticket No. X5NSLD online on 16th July, 2010 through Book International & Indian Hotels, Flights and Indian Railways & IRCTC trains | Cleartrip.com for onward journey from CCU to DEL on 28th July,2010 by Flight No. 6E-206 , time of departure: 04:45 pm

Appeared airport at 03:50 pm queued in boarding pass issuing counter behind four passengers. When my turn came, the lady attending the counter told me that the counter was closed. I had some arguments with the lady. She then sent me to counter no. 1 in frnt of hers. The lady at counter no. 1 could not solve the problem. I again went to previous counter. This time the lady took my ticket and wrote “Pax reported at 16:19 hrs”. It was not so. I lined in the queue at 03:55 pm not at 16:19 hrs.I was then asked to go to reservation booking counter within Airport. There I was asked to book fresh ticket and that they could neither refund nor adjust. I then asked for indicating me the superior authority whom I could meet. They advised me to see the counter supervisor. I met her and told her the issue. I also told her that I was a Govt. Officer destined to attend a vital meeting in Delhi with World Bank on an important issue having Govt. interest and my availing the flight was of crying need. But the lady could not help me.

I had contact over phone with Cleartrip and indigo contact centre to be told that they could not help on the issue.

At length, I had to book another fresh ticket at a price of Rs. 5282 for flight no.6 E 274 (PNR No. C6SJCI), I availed that flight at 19:50 hrs.

My complaints and demands for relief is as below:

a) That I am to report to airport atleast 2 hours before the time of journey was not stipulated on the body of the print out of ticket of Book International & Indian Hotels, Flights and Indian Railways & IRCTC trains | Cleartrip.com as was however mentioned on the reverse of the ticket of the INDIGO.
b) That the ticket of the cleartrip was of 2 pages and that stipulation as to reporting time might be on second page as held by counter ladies was not relevant as the page is marked 1 of 1.
c) I was kept in the darkness as to the requirement of my reporting to airport at least 2 hours before the journey.
d) Instead of my embarrassment, I did not claim refund but my urge for adjustment was also turned down and I had to pay full amount for the second time booking on the spot from your airport booking counter.

e) I may kindly be refunded money I had to pay twice.
