I had booked a return flight from delhi to patna. My confirmation code is : A8STU3
I got an automatic message saying that my flight from delhi to patna has been cancelled. I asked for an alternative flight(in Goair or otherwise) as it was very urgent for me to go as i had to attend a very close friend's marriage. But the person on the Goair helpline said it was not in their policy to book a ticket in another airlines. Since there was no other goair flight going to patna on the same day, i asked the refund to be processed. Next day it came to my notice that the flight which was cancelled as per the message i got from the airlines and as per the sms i had received went on it's own time and was not cancelled
I do not understand what is this policy? Do they overbook and then to reduce people they tell them that it is cancelled? All i know is that because of their mistake/intended action i was not able to attend my very close friends wedding. I am ready to take a legal action against GoAir if need be. Please suggest if a legal action can be taken in such a case
