I, K. Ramakrishna Rao, Son of K. Rama Subbaiah Aged 39 years resident of F05 Sai Krupa Appartments, Vinayaka nagar Main Road, 7th Phase JP Nagar, bring the following facts to the kind notice of the consumer forum court for redresal of greviences as there is clear case of neglegence and deficiency in service on the part of Air India, New Delhi.

I booked Air E-ticket from Bangalore to Varanasi to perform last rituals of my mother's death at river ganga basin Varnasai, which is as per Hindu Customs. As I working as Sr. Executive (Program Manager) in Vignani Technologies, 101 RJ Towers 5th Block Koramangala Indl. Area, Bangalore 560095. Owing to busy schedules at office, I planned to go by Air to Varanasi on Saturday 12 June 2010 and return from Allahabad on Monday 14th June 2010. As Saturday and Sunday are Public holidays for vignani technologies, with least inconvenience to my official duty, for that I had important assignment, for Tuesday, 15th June 2010, submitting and deciding huge value of business proposal amounting to $500,0000. Further I already utilized most part of may and early June 2010, for performing obsequies of my mother. Looking at busy scenario, I decided to go by Flight and return within short period of 3 days, as train journey likely to take 10 days.

As per schedule, we reached Varanasi on 12th June 2010 by Spice Jet airways by 6:00 pm and I completed my rituals as per the schedule. On 14th June reached Allahabad Airport by 12:00 Noon, as the scheduled flight departure at 4:00 pm, for the flight Air India IC7802. and completed airport security check formalities in time.Tilll 3:00 pm, there was no communication either from Air India authorities or Air port authority of India Allahabad. Later Air India office @ Allahabad Airport, displayed the flight status at 3.30 pm (approximate), about the delay of IC7802 departure mentioned as 6:40 pm, instead of 4:00 pm. I was worried, whether I can reach Delhi and catch up my connecting flight, Indigo airlines 6E 131, which scheduled to departure at 8.45 pm 14 june 2010. When I informed my incovenience caused due to delay of the IC7802 to Air India Duty Manager & Team, there was reckless response saying that " we are not responsible for the your connecting flights". after heated discussions with Air India Staff and Duty manager, finally the delayed flight arrvied at 6:15 pm, after delay of 2hrs and 15 Min, and same flght departed from Allahabad airport at 6:50 pm and reached Delhi airport by 8:40 pm, by the time I reached Indigo airlines counter, officials and duty manager at Indigo Airlines said that scheduled flight is on runway, and they cannot help us any more the my scheduled flight 8:45 pm,
I am forced to stay at New Delhi Airport thru out 14th night, without any accommodation provided by Air India and which was sleepless night.and My sinus problem (health) aggrevated. and returned to Bangalore on 15th June 2010 by catching up early flight of Indigo airlines at 6:30 am and reached Bangalore airport by 9.30 am, which has incurred us paying additional amount to Indigo airlines.

In this case, it is clearly indicated that there is sheer carelessness and deficiency on the part of Air India and loose talks of the Air India Staff, on account of which, I not only put much agony depression but also spent sleepless night at delhi airport. In addition to this, I missed my official important assignments of proposals submission value worth of $500,000 USD, this delay resulted in dissatifisfaction and displeasure from my company management.

The honourable court make kindly consider the above facts and clear deficiency in the services of Air India to the consumers and allow compensation of One Lakh at the earliest.
