*To the SPICEJET AIRLINES Management*

With extreme sorrow & deep anger, we would like to bring the following
untoward incidents that happened at the boarding lounge of Jaipur airport &
then on-board Flight SG-913 from Jaipur to Amdabad on Aug 22, 2010. On this
flight, the great spiritual Guru Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu also happened to be
traveling for whom thousands of people have been waiting in Amdabad lining
up roads & streets for several hours all the way from Amdabad Airport till
the ashram in Sabarmati. Flights was delayed for more than 5 hours & Indian
public & Spiritual leaders were humiliated on board.
Chronology of Events:
1. Around 1:30pm, after all passengers have checked in, the boarding
announcement is made for Spicejet Flight SG213 with scheduled departure time
of 2:10pm from Jaipur to Amdavad.
2. Passengers with seats # 20 & above are asked to stand in queue for
boarding for almost 30 minutes with no reason given for delay & then asked
to go back & sit until next announcement.
3. People keep on waiting for hours with not even water offered in that
secluded boarding area. The airline staff has a rough & rude behaviour
towards any passenger who dares to ask for reason for delay. No reason is
given except technical fault with no estimate time of departure.
4. Around 5pm, they announce refreshments will be given & ask passengers to
queue up for a petty cup of coffee or tea. When the dignified travelers
refuse to accept this, they are finally given some sandwiches but again as
if doing a great favor to them. The staff continues rude behaviour. Some
passengers have taken visual clip of misbehavior of staff. Some passengers
are told they have no right to ask explanation from them.
5. Finally boarding is announced after nearly 5 hours at 6:30pm & passengers
get on board filled with frustration & fatigue. Feeling natural sympathy
with the disturbed passengers, Pujya Bapuji seated on seat 1A asks everyone
to calm down while asking spicejet staff to treat them fairly considering
their long ordeal.
6. At this juncture the main pilot of the craft ( Mr Fuccilo, a foreigner)
gets upset with Bapuji & uses abusive gestures ( getting close to him &
pointing two fingers on lips) as well abusive language. He also manhandles
nearby passengers including a US citizen seated on seat 2D. He also uses
abusive language for the Indian saints & religion. When other passengers
warn him on his actions, he jumps back to his cockpit & shuts down the door
in anger. He then flies the plane to Amdabad as if doing a great favor for
the Indian pubic on whose money his salary is paid from.
