I Ms Gargi Majumder had an indigo flight (6E 208) of booking Reference No:RI28AT from Guwahati to Kolkata at 12:40 pm on 16th october 2011.I borded from arunachal on 15th oct night on bus and due to unrest(leading to bandhs) over there it arrived few hours late in the morning of 16th october 2011 in Guwahati .Somehow i managed to reach to Guwahati airport and arrived there by 12:00 pm but surprisingly the counter for the mentioned flight had been closed by then.After inquiry,it was informed that the counter had been closed at 11:55am and issue of boarding pass is no more possible.After repeated request it was adviced to me to buy a fresh ticket for 17th oct alongside it was also informed that ticket for 16th October 2011 shrank to zero.Being a student of NERIST and hometown in kolkata that situation was pretty awkward to me.I repeatedly requested them to board me to my flight but the Airlines personnels of the above mentioned airlines service were not paying heed to the distress caused to me beacuse of their illogical activity and moreover I was not allowed to consult the then officer-in-charge.However,after paying an additional amount (Rs 5324/-, compensation fee),somehow i was allowed to board on another Indigo flight(6E 322) on the same day.
Kindly look into the matter so that the extra amount of fare extracted from me by the Indigo airlines services is reimbursed.Please let me know the further steps that could be followed so that the extra sum paid can be recovered.
