    Dear Ms Khan,

I refer to your email dated December 21, 2011.

I once again apologize for the inconvenience caused to Mr. Jawaid on the day of travel.

I wish to reiterate that the delay on flight 9W 2648 was due to technical reason hence a decision was taken to delay the flight for 30 minutes in view of guest safety. Regrettably due to the delay Mr. Jawaid missed his onward flight to Kolkata.

While the Delhi staff endeavored to assist Mr. Jawaid to re-book on the next available flight which was not to his satisfaction.

In view of the above inconvenience, we have provided full refund of the ticket and we regret to inform our inability to compensate as suggested by you. I hope you understand our position in this regard.

Thank you for communicating with us.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Sneh Mehrotra

    Hello,

It was pleasure hearing from you although if you go through our previous emails and also redo your investigations starting from Gorakhpur Airport you surely will come to know that we have well in time inquired about the flight schedule and have also informed about the connecting flights. However we have never been properly informed about the delay in time, also have been provided misguiding informations. Moreover as far as we being frequent flyers we very well understand that it is the airlines duty to keep the passengers informed. If you talk about us informing at Gorakhpur Airport about the connecting flight schedule we did so and in-spite of that they have issued a boarding pass which they shouldn't have done on the first place to avoid further inconvenience. The Ticked very well indicate that there was a connecting flight from Delhi for Kolkata from the same airlines. It was a fatal error which occurred because of the Airlines and its staff's fault and we are not responsible neither we are willing to suffer.

I clearly mentioned in my previous emails that we are looking for a complete refund and compensation and not just either one of it to make up for the Airlines mistake and nothing less than that will be accommodated.

    Looking forward for your cooperation.

    Thanks & Regards
    Rehana Khan

    Mr. Tabish Jawaid

    Dear Mr. Jawaid,

Thank you for your email dated December 2, 2011. I also refer to the comment form filled during your travel on flight 9W 914 from Delhi to Kolkata on November 29, 2011.

At the outset, I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you at Delhi airport as you were unable to board your scheduled connecting flight 9W 911 to Kolkata departing at 18:35hrs.

A detailed inquiry was conducted on this incident and I take this opportunity to address your concerns objectively.

    • As flight 9W 2648 from Gorakhpur to Delhi was delayed by 30 minutes due to late arrival of the incoming aircraft, we were unable to inform our guests well in advance.
    • Had you informed our staff at Gorakhpur to cancel the tickets due to the delay of flight 9W 2648 and your inability to further connect on the scheduled flight, they would have certainly assisted you with your request.
    • The late arrival of the flight from Gorakhpur, resulted in missing your onward flight to Kolkata departing at 1835hrs. I understand that our Delhi staff endeavored to assist you in all possible way by rebooking you on the next available flight i.e. 9W 914.
    • Since you had travelled on the first sector from Gorakhpur to Delhi our staff were unable to assist you with the full refund of the ticket i.e. from Gorakhpur to Kolkata. However, as a special case we are providing a full refund of the original ticket number5893573960256.

May I kindly request you to liaise with the issuing agent and inform them to submit the refund application authority (RAA) for a refund. On receipt of the RAA the applicable refund would be processed.

Renewed apologies for the inconvenience caused on this occasion and assure you that it was never our intention to inconvenience you in any way.

Thank you for communicating with us. We look forward to welcome you on board Jet Airways again.

    Default Refund from Jet Airways

Jet Airways flight no 2647 was cancelled on 17th November 2011, from Delhi to Gorakhpur and the airline has refunded an amount of Rs 434.00 because my ticket was from Bangalore to Delhi and the Guest relation officer says that since I had undertaken MAJOR part of the journey, only Rs 434.00 is refundable.

I had to spend almost 8 hours at the airport and then stay overnight in a hotel and take the eraly morning flight to Lucknow by Go Air at my own expense. Jet Airways is refusing to refund the full fare of Delhi Lucknow flight citing rules about the ticket being a Bangalore-Gorakhpur.

Even if I had purchased a ticket on the same day for Bangalore -Delhi flight, it wouldn't have cost more than 4500.00. therefore, I should be refunded the amount of cancelled flight. I will be pleased to provide more information you may require.
