Dear sir/madam,
i, ekta bihani was booked with kingfisher airlines with my three year old son lakshya bidasaria on flight no. It 2551 flying from kolkata to indore via raipur on the 21is of june. The flight however got cancelled but i recieved no update of the same. I did not recieve any calls too.
I however got to know about this from a friend and called up the airlines for booking me to some other flight for the 21st june itself.
They offered me an option which is:
Going to delhi in the morning and then taking a flight from delhi in the evening.
They could not give me the bombay connection as they say that the flights were full.
I asked them to put up me and my son somewhere as it is very uncomfortable to be with a three year old child in the the airport for seven hours , which was the time between the two flights.
They refused to do so, and they said that they cannot help me out in any way.
I told them that if thats the case, they should be putting me in a flight that has lesser hours of gap.
They could not help me out with that too as thier flights were full.
Now i have to take the morning and the evening flight to delhi and then indore with a kid of 3 yrs without any food or accomodation.
I think they should have accomodated the guests of the flight that has been cancelled first instead of taking more guests and causing inconvinience to passengers who are alreadt booked with them.
Kingfisher has a tie up with jet airways for accomodating thier guests in case of an emergency.
Jet airways flies from calcutta to mumbai in the afternoon and then from mumbai to indore in the evening.
This flight would have been very convinient for me but they could not provide us with it.
They could not even give us any accomodation. I think it is unfair to trouble passengers like this and just telling them to take the refund if they are uncomfortable. I booked my tichets 15 days in advance to get a good bargain, how will i get a ticket with the money that they refund to me today.
Please help.
