Dear Forum,
This is to inform you that I am facing a issue of baggage lost which had happened due to the mistake of the crew. Due to unavailability of space my cabin baggage ( VIP Strolley Bag containing Expensive Clothes and some very important company documents) was kept in the flight and a claming tag was handed over to me.
Details mentioned as follows:
1. Name : Raja Dass
2. Flight Route: Bagdogra – Kolkata – Mumbai
3. Dated: 14th November 2010
4. PNR No. X6K3EB
5. Flight No. SG324 was from Bagdogra – Kolkata seat 2F
6. Flight No. SG 874 was from Kolkata – Mumbai seat 14A
7. Claiming Tag No. 0001042 ( this tag was given by the crew to be claimed for the baggage)
The customer care was complained about the matter on failing to trace the bag they aggreed to give a compensation of Rs 2400 which is not acceptable)
The valuation of the bag:
VIP strolley bag Rs 3995
Contents inside worth Rs 6000
Kindly suggest me that if my total valuation is of the range of Rs 10000 should I accept a compensation of Rs 2400/-. I appeal to the esteemed forum to get juctice to me.
Currently I am out of India and would return on 12th Dec 2010.
