On 27th August 2010, i had a flight at 8:40 am in the moring on Spice Jet, i had checked in at around 7:40 itseld. but due to the rush on the airport for security check it took me some time to get past it. When i reached the gate they refused me to board as they said they have closed the gate 20 mins before the schedule time. They told them due to rush i was stuck in queue, infact they called me to ask where i am, i'd told them i'm in queue, and a spice jet person also came and asked my name, but he did not inform me anything about the closing of gates, neither was there any anouncements regarding that. Previously also on Ahmedabad air port i was stuck in security check up queue but there the spice jet staff in ahmedabad had approached and escorted me till the gate. This time they not only cancelled my ticket but they also did not assit me any further on this. Infact there staff commented on me that I WAS WALKING VERY SLOW, which i think is a racial comment on me as i'm fat. what if there was a handicaped person, will they response in same way that u cannot walk. They did not refund me any money and i had to purchase a new ticket. They are not ready to accept their negligence and there rude behaviour towards me. Infact the 2nd flight i took at 11:50, till 11:30 they not even announced the gate number. In that case they did not close the gates. If they had rule of closing gates prior 20 minutes, then should not have allowed even a single passenger on board. I want my money to be refunded as they have already issued me the borading pass. They should not have charged for the new ticket. Kindly help me against their partial behaviour.
