Dear Consumer Forum Team,
On the 11th of Dec 2010 I booked 5 airlines tickets using Yatra .com for my guests flying frm Delhi to Mum ( Kingfisher airlines). Amt paid was 39,834/-
But unfortunately i had to cancel the same as my guests got stuck in traffic and informed me that would not be able to make it on time.
Hence i 1st called up the Yatra Helpline but all i was getting the IVR and no one to respond back to my query.
I called up the Kingfisher airlines and they cancelled the tickets and informed me the charge of Rs 500/- towards cancellation fees per ticket which amounts to 2500/- and informed me to get in touch with Yatra team for the refund.
On the same day i sent them a mail for the same via there website but they claim not to have recd on the 13th of dec when i called their helpline.
And hence sent a mail again. But from that they day till date. I have not recd my refund only false assurances that my refund will be processed in three days time.
today i get a mail with the response as below:

We would like to inform you that refund of Rs. (34473.60) is under process from our end and it will be credited back to your same account with in next 3 working days.

the point here is how long does a customer have to wait and why a charge of more than 1000/- rs per person be charged.
