Default Agony with Airtel customer care

I got airtel 2 IPTV connection installed in Dec 2010, since then I am going through a mental trauma with Airtel. I made the payment for the two Set top boxes (1750 x 2) by cheque. This amount was not reflected in my first bill, but after making multiple calls and giving them appropriate proofs, I somehow managed to get that amount reduce from the bill, though they asked me to pay the tax for the same. The agony doesn't end here. Even though I made the payment for Dec 2010, 3 days prior to the overdue date, I got the bill with associated late fee. Not only this, my airtel landline services are barred from 20th Jan 2011, even though the due date is 31st Jan 2011. Now even after making 3 complaints, dated as follow
    Jan 20 @ 18:30
    Jan 22 @ 08:30
    Jan 22 @ 22:00

My connection is not yet restored and every time they come across a false assurance that the connection will be resumed in four hours. Its been more than 66 hours since I lodged my first complaint and since then I am following uo with them regularly. When after so much of mayhem, I was not able to seek any result I was forced to check with this forum. Kindly help me in getting my concern resolved at the earliest.

    Regards

Default Agony with Airtel - continued

    Hi,

I had a concern with airtel in the month of Jan'2011, which was resolved only after raising my concern on this forum. But it seems that the only way to get this resolved is through this forum. Some irrelevant late payment fee was charged in my bill for the month of Jan'2011. Once that was resolved (after pushing it for 4 days), I was asked to pay Rs. 100 less to the amount. But again this month, I got the bill will late payment fee of Rs 150 (100 + 50). When requested for a reason for the same, I got a response that we cannot do anything in this (Call details can be furbished on request).

It would be very helpful if anyone in the forum can help me resolve this issue asap, else I am sure they will add on with some new charges to my account.

    Regards,
    Prashant

Angry Airtel Prepaid : Waste of Money, Waste of Energy, Waste of Time

    Dear Readers,
Have you ever noticed that Airtel's advertisement for their Prepaid connection? Never...right? because it is very good option for customers to save their money instead of paying unwanted rent for post paid bills. This came into my experience after 6years usage of Airtel postpaid connection and wasted Rs400 per month. I used to pay Rs.750 per month before I changed to prepaid connection and the bill reduced to Rs.333 per month with the same usage. Believe me! it is true...you can try but just read below statement before it. Since it is profit loss to airtel, they are trying to do malfunctions to their prepaid customers to make it postpaid.

    Our recent experience from Airtel:
I have taken a prepaid connection from Airtel Outlet, 80Ft Road, Near/Opp. Maharaja Hotel, Koramangala, Banglore on 26th Feb 2011. Since I'm aware of govt.instructions to provide valid document for any prepaid mobile connections and we are using other prepaid, I have submitted all the necessary documents at the same outlet and confirmed with the executives for my MSISDN:9663938229. My intention was to avoid save my valuable time and energy if anything missing while submission. I have received SIM and activated connection on the same day, but after 2weeks time, Airtel sent SMS that you have to submit your documents within 48hours. As soon as I contacted airtel customer care and came to know that you have to submit again. I have informed the executive that already submitted documents and if anything missing let me know. So he requested some time to verify and assured to call back. But after two days my outgoing facility got disconnected without any information. After a big argument with airtel customer executive(121) and higher level officials they had activated facility immediately because they dont have any answer for my question that which document is missing. Even they couldn't reply for the details of mine which I submitted there, not even my name, I mean the docs weren't reached there. After one week again they disconnected incoming facility without any intimation as usual. Again same process repeated and directly went to the shop. I met an executive Mr.Aziz in the same outlet from whom the connection had given. He assured that everything proper now no need to submit any docs hereafter and I was happy. But since yesterday 19-03-2011 my connection is saying Invalid SIM and came to know that the number has been deactivated and I have to take another connection... what a funny & simple solution... right? I lost around Rs.400 in that SIM which I recharged.

Dear Readers, could you please help me to tackle this situation and get some compensation from the provider? Right now am in the situation to opt another provider who is having faith on their customers.

    my email id is: v_ta@rediffmail.com

    Thanks,

Question 3g excess bill its a big story more than airtel customers would be intersted

    Dear ....?
I have been using my Airtel No. for last 4+ years , I was always hoping that I never had to put forth my problem in front of virtual Customer Care world , that is the last thing you can expect todays virtual world where you would be fighting in thin air dont know whom you are speaking (if at all you are able to pass through waiting line, then if they speak to you!!!) These people should be called as Company care in stead of customer Care , some advice to "Customers" try to beg ,request , putting aside all your ego aside if you want any justice or favour!!!!
Now the real problem !! The day I was waiting arrived when Airtel announced 3g I was happy to use my android x10 full capability , when I called customer care i realized it was not my cup of tea still I wanted to check for a month so I activated 200 plan for some 250 mb on 5/2 i knew it will get over soon i was very careful i installed data traffic controller software , meanwhile i shifted billing plan so then I decided to shift 3g to gprs on 8/3 , through local customer care , after that I started using my data as usual for my utter surprise speed was amazing like 3g!!!!!!!!!! , as a dump kept using data on 13/03 i revived call from local customer care stating that are you using 3g i said how would i know? 3g word is not appearing in my screen but it was not Edge also then they said people at sytems have not de-activated the 3g plan it will be done soon
when my bill arrived amount was 3100+ which was otherwise would have been 1000-1250 , question is not whether i can pay or not question why should i pay for mistake which is not mine ?? i refused to pay called customer care could not get through for 2 days , sent mail to nodal officer , got call after 3 days stating it was my fault (obviously they are Company care people ) to get proper service you have to show your aggression )i'm sorry for that because i really dont like to shout at any customer care it is my friend , cousin, or sister who is sitting and way of earning for them) started getting call they hear my story put me in hold for 3 times in a week, then i had to disconnect, then a final call came where guy told me with a harsh voice you have no other way but to pay , he is hurting my ego no way i can hurt him because its some suresh ramesh a virtual guy.... , this is final try may be i am just trying to put feelings out , with all customer cares.......... of the world , i will wait till tuesday then i will make a payment in full because i need my number to be active , i cant afford to loose my number but for Airtel just a 1000 rupee per month wont make a difference , thanx to airtel for giving exellent coverage , voice clarity ( I ahve no other choice but to stay!!!), and for not disconnecting my out going in spite of non payment of bill for a month ,
Team Airtel if you reply thank you very much in advance if you dont i'm glad that i have put my frustration out.
