Hi ,

I had airtel connection for last 1 year .
I had made a payment in the month of JULY 2010 when their systems were down , for which I got a manual Receipt from the Airtel Representative .

This payment was not recorded by AIRTEL .
They terminate my connection in August , Statting that Payment was not made .
2 days before they terminated my Connection , I had received a call from their collections team asking for Payments , accordingly I had made the Payment on 12th August 2010 , inspite of which the connection was terminated on 13th August .

After this I have been following up with AIRTEL to reconnect the broadband , They took 13 days to get back to me .
After 13 days they tell me that they need my id proof and address proof to connect the broad band .

Now they wanted me to an address proof like , electricity bill in my name or phone bill .
I am staying in rented house , Electricity bill is in name of my owner .
Phone bill ( Vodaphone ) is in my name , but they will accept only BSNL phone bills ( I have no clue what this logic would mean )

So my case is stuck there .

I am now asking them not to connect back .
But they still have to Refund back the extra payment they have received from me .

They have caused a lot of pain in terms of disconnecting without any notice .
Secondly the follow ups with customer care with out any response from their managers or customer relation ship officers has been traumatic .

Since I co-ordinate work with Onsite team at US , I have been staying up at night in Office as they have disconnected my connection .

I want Consumer forum to charge them for :
1. Terminating connection without notice .
2. Terminating Connection after receiving an Extra payment .
3. Not updating their system with the payment for which Manual Receipt was given .
4. Follow ups with out response causing so much stress .
